02JUCY is a square tail light 2002 with turbo arches, front spoiler and rear spoiler. Its got a 5spd, I assume an LSD, vented front discs and drum rears, and an M10 running side draft carbies. Pretty sure its coilover front, standard rear. I dunno what sort of cam Pete runs or what power he has, but he's been running pretty good times (for a 2002) so the car is set up well. -
You are the problem. If she didn't have you (and any siblings) she might well be a partner at a major accounting firm.

It looks like it is $186 before tax per week. http://www.studylink.govt.nz/thinking-abou...ance/index.html I thought the student allowance was means-tested on your parents income?

FFS the old ones must have been heavy, coz I have a set of those ACS (impulse buy) and they could never be called light. They look great on your car I reckon.

That's pretty high quality advice for 3.36am.

How do you remove rear swaybar links on e34

Geeez, you need something bigger than that. Surely. I got a big torch from BOC years ago. It hasn't run out yet. -
I want one please. So one left.

ETK implies that pre 9/1984 was lighter: http://bmwfans.info/original/E30/2-T/320i-...11/ill-11_0286/

MAP = run a vacuum hose to the inlet manifold and yes, a straight pipe (preferably to a cold air box). I suspect the factory airbox is still fine, so you could just use a bit of pipe in place of the AFM.
-
Geez that's gonna haul ass. I'd forgotten how big the turbo was...

4 doors didn't get the Vaders either, for what it is worth (about $0.02 is the going rate).

So buy it, insist on the LSD, or a reduction in price (eg $2500 being the Trademe price, haha) for no LSD. Because currently he is misrepresenting it. (edit - yes, I know that won't work - its a joke, although he shouldn't misrepresent it if he has had that discussion with you)

I could swear when I saw that yesterday it was no reserve (also says so in the auction blurb) - I now see it is $13.5k, within 15% of the reserve. Oh well - it seems the reserve is still $15.5k.

Never get sick usually. Wife was very distraught. I milked the sympathy hard.

If its a variant of what I've had, takes about a week to go away ... so you should be ok by the w/end. IMHO.

I reckon the M10 has less teeth and while its a similar (or the same) outside diameter, it has a smaller machined surface for the smaller clutch. And I want a cookie if I am right
-
I could swear the ring gear teeth were totally not the same between an M10 and an M20 flywheel. I could also swear the M10 clutch was the smaller size - 215mm - compared to the M20 (or 2002tii) 228mm. Are you using the larger clutch and flywheel with the smaller machined surface? But I could be talking out my arse.
-
Possibly M20 from a 323i.

That's the thing, $2500 is so high its ridiculous. Based on a quick look, I reckon you could get a small case LSD centre for about US$300-$400 which is approx NZ$750. Even allowing for **AIR FREIGHT** (its probably well under 10kg) and GST etc, plus a rebuild to put it into your existing diff, you couldn't get close to $2500. You'd struggle to get to $1500 (which is more than buying the small case LSD on Trademe at $1200 anyway), unless you started into adding extra clutch plates and changing the ramp angles (and even then $2k would be hard to go past).
-
It looks like the flywheel is about the same diameter, but the clutch is smaller, and the ring gear is definitely different (so you'd need to swap the ring gear or the gear on the starter, or the starter if they swap). The only way to find out would be to try it, which would be expensive and a hassle if its wrong.

Ooops, I read the other post he made and he mentioned turbo. I clearly didn't read this one too carefully...
-
You wouldn't be the first... (surprising?), so you could ask this guy how: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-198644741.htm Is there going to be enough room for the turbo? I guess I don't see why not, for a top mount (I suggest passenger side as it will be easier to run the downpipe with no steering on that side).
