  1. He couldn't even get the jack under the car because it was so low to the ground. Started to scrap his hans up trying to jack it up. Not to mention the rear tyres were worn through the chords on the inside of the tyres because of the camber (due to cut springs). Pink stickered and impounded for 28days as driver was disqualified. Laurence
  2. Thanks Will call you tomorrow morning (not too early though, it's a day off ). Laurence
  3. Hey guys, My e30 M3 is going on the dyno this week (Thursday) for tune & performance runs etc and it would be awesome to get a recorded video of some of the power runs to post up here on Bimmersport.co.nz Sorry for the late notice I know, work has been full on and have only had a chance to post up tonight. i'm in Upper Hutt but can meet up anywhere in Welly to pick-up and drop-off etc. Will have it back to the owner by the weekend text 027 4262941 or PM me Laurence
  4. Ended up selling for $3200 which I think was a fair price. I wasn't asking too much and it had a few cosmetic imperfections, but nothing mechanical etc. I just listed it at a realistic price. Figured it was better to have cash in hand then be waiting weeks with no bites. Laurence
  5. Sold through Trademe. Had 5 separate couples interested and sold it all within 48hrs. Laurence
  6. Lol. $464.57 hmm if you move the . over a few spaces, Maybe $46457.00 Thanks Really can't wait to get her on the road this month. Should be finished in a few weeks. Just tidying up a few small things and will get a proper photo shoot done once it's finished. Laurence
  7. Hey guys, I am now working close to home and no longer need to drive to work everyday so am selling my car. My parents bought the Polo aprox. 3 years ago and used it as a second car for just over 2 years. I bought it from them last year and have been using it since then. Dad spent about $2000 on some new engine parts and minor little touch-up's before I bought it off him last year. He had it regularly serviced and worked on by Page European (Wellington) Since owing it I have done primarily open road driving (Aprox. 70km's from my house to work and back) and have regularly changed out the oil + filters etc. It is very very cheep to run. I fill it up for $60 (40L) and average 500+ km's per tank. It is a 1999 Volkswagen Polo 1.6L (auto) 158,000 km's + JVC CD/MP3 headunit + First Aid Kit (including jumper leads, emergency triangle, blanket etc) + New W.O.F I have just spent $400 replacing all 4 tyres which will be fitted early next week I have checked prices on Trademe and most Polo's from 1996+ are priced between $4,000-$6,000 I feel a fair price for my Polo is $3,100-$3,500 given higher km's and am happy to consider all offers. Laurence
  8. No, not at this stage. I priced it up a short while ago but would be looking at between $10,000 - $15,000 for the conversion. Laurence
  9. Has been a busy 3 weeks lately. Just finished some important rust repairs on the bulkhead, caused by historic accident damage. Turned out to be a major fix but has been sorted now. M3 was dropped in to the mechanics today to fit the new resonators in the exhaust. Unfortunately 103.9dB at 4000rpm was too loud for the certifier Also having a small re-tune done as the engine is running a little too rich atm. Pics to come soon. Laurence
  10. Good idea, maybe something like this (tried to find a similar looking Mag Wheel) Laurence
  11. You would think that after all that work on the engine swap + interior they could have spent a few more $$ and fixed the sounds install (at least carpeted the sup box and tightened the screws etc).. it really detracts from the overall look of the car. Not really my cup of tea but no doubt someone will make an offer. Laurence
  12. Hey guys, I have a very good condition e30 steering rack that I pulled from my 1990 e30 325i. I am happy to provide pictures if required (I just don't have a camera on me tonight). Or it can be viewed at my place (Wellington). Looking for offers around $100 but happy to discuss further Flick me an email. Thanks, Laurence Edit: Price
  13. Hey guys, Does anyone know the best way to get in touch with someone from Classic Car Magazine? I only have email option when I check out their website but I would prefer to call vs. email. Unfortunately receptionist won't give out any of the ph. numbers for editors etc. Laurence
  14. check the ground wire also Laurence
  15. I would have guessed 15-20 road cars + another 10-20 race cars at the very max. Laurence
  16. wheel whores lol Laurence
  17. I owned a Merc 190e cossie and it they are a pretty nice car.. They go really well and aren't afraid to be revved up towards the red line. I would pick the Cossie over the 325M. Compared to the e30 M3 the price for these is nothing and they may start to become more collectable. Just make sure the Merc is mechanically sound if you buy it. Small rips in interior can be fixed any time, engine work is a little different. Laurence
  18. Looking primo mate!! I really need to get of my a** and do a photo session of my car. Did you snap any pictures of the engine bay? Interior? Laurence
  19. this is what you need mate. It will mean you can really tighten the centre caps so no prick can steel them Sorry I don't have a part number for you. Laurence
  20. just got the email before.. Thanks. going to take the pictures with me so the mechanic has something to work off. Looks really nice with the resonators, hope mine come up looking that good. Laurence

  22. Wow, thanks for all the posts.. Yes it was hard waiting for so long But i knew the wait would be worth it. There are still a lot of things I would like to improve on/fix on the M3 but it will still take a long time yet to get it complete. When I get the scanner working I'll get the dyno plot posted up too. Think I have a fueling issue to sort.. Went through $50 of 98, so about 30Lts, in 80km's and i suspect it's dumping too much fuel (thanks Ian for helping me with some Q's:) ) Would this need to be sorted by a mechanic or a further dyno tune?? Laurence
  23. I only noticed it when I went through the pictures before.. Definitely need to source a chrome grill along with a few other bits and pieces. Laurence
