    E39 523 touring

Needs to be re registered, total cost of this should be around $750 that's for the test, plates and licencing fees for a year I think 99 523 auto oxford green, sand leather interior, motor has done 197k Looking for $3000 so at say 4k total cost it's a extremely cheap touring

    e39 540

Well bar a final clean she's all ready to go for re licensing, would have gone already but they couldn't fit it in . New springs, rotors, pads, battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, oil , oil filter, re coloured leather, wood replaced with brushed steel vinyl, shadowlined and removed the 540i badge probably a few other things I've forgotten Looks a little odd in the front because tires need pumping up still have newly polished headlights to fit but that will wait until the last moment lol keep them looking pretty, you may notice the real project car sitting next to it looking sad
  12. What pads did u choose in the end? I was surprised the 540s only ran single pot calipers
  13. Decided as no one wanted to buy the 540's lowering springs, to put them to good use and install them, not an overly fun job as anyone that's done a e39 will tell you
  14. Will sell a lot in San Francisco then
  15. Meh once you've driven a vtec mini you've seen them all, lol. Fiberglass flip front makes for easy access, personally conversion is just an off the shelf now we've ( the mini community) been doing b conversions for some 12+ years now, amazing in a straight line but and a big but for me it felt bad through the twisty bits, first time I've felt like I couldn't drive a mini as quickly as it wanted to go. Bike engined conversions were just starting to come into the scene when I exited(moved to nz) have seriously considered the bike engine route but will probably just stay with the a series engines I know

    E38 750iL Cruiser

As far as lowering with edc I called a couple of places and did a lot of looking into it for my 540 places I called and research said no
  17. Good on you, guessing new owner will really look after it as they paid more then the asking, not very often that happens
  18. I need to win lotto http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/e30/auction-674817916.htm
  19. Lol they are a hideous banana shaped car, but in a honesty f**k that sh*t, could you be bothered to clean it every day. Well you could always get it vinyled to look like this Well f**k me some has even made polish for it
  20. All new rotors and pads turned up for the 540 today, job for tomorrow fit them
  21. Would the timing chain guide make a clicking noise when due for replacement
  22. I have no issue with the colour quite like it but the black and silver interior is not pretty
  23. Saw this in the flesh the other day, let me say the photos don't do it any justice at all. Looks even worse in real life
  24. Put new fuel pump, new battery and spark plugs in the 540, begged it to start and after a little hesitation it did and idled perfectly. Plugged in code reader picked up a p100 air flow/mass sensor issue, cleared it and it came straight back, so next part to get replaced I guess. Took it for a drive up and down the drive way, was really tempted to go 300meters down the road round the round about and back but I didnt
  25. Tbh I need that stuff I'm smoking keeps me alive. love to say find a 540 Motorsport manual wagon but good luck, I'd never buy a diesel but wouldn't mind a go In one that's been chipped and a bigger turbo as I said it'd have some grunt for a tractor
