Hi everyone, Time has come to move the E30 along to someone who has time & motivation to show it some love. Pics to come Was 320 manual coupe NO sun-roof, have basicly upgraded about everything (folder of receipts etc). - Colour - Gold or whatever BMW's take on gold was in '87 - 2.5ltr (running on L-Jet system) - new cam belt & tensioner, eccentric adjusters(2-3k ago approx) - 260 box with short shift - disc rear (standard on 325) new disk's and pads - rear sway (Msport available not fitted) - EVO IV disk's / calipers Front. (Ex Glenn ex Gus) - 25mm Master Cylinder fully re-built - Proportioning valve on front (Willwood) - new brake lines - new front shocks 2-3k ago (munro gas?) 55mm struts - 17" Avanti rims - near new 215/40 rears -fronts 205/40 ok but getting down - NO air-con - NO stereo - BRIDE sport seats (reclinable) - MOMO race 2 wheel - black interior (excluding head liner) - NO carpet underlay - Lowered springs unknown All mods certified. Have had rust cut out but still needs paint May be able to supply LSD 3:91:1 at additional cost also have spare clutch plate / pressure plate and Motronic ECU for 2.5 The car is not 'Mint" be a good base for someone to spend a bit of time on. Selling because I don't have time / space to do anything else. Price as with everything is negotiable but would like 4K or whatever the market will pay. Will be listed on trademe next week, will be sold with WOF & 6 months Reg. Has about 180k's on the body no idea on engine box etc as all been bought 2nd hand. Hi, You can drive on your Aus licience for 12 months before your required to get a NZ one. If you leave, say to return home for a holiday you get another 12 months apon your return. Only condition is that you aren't disqualified from driving in Aus. refer fact sheet 56 LTSA cheers Matt

So hypothetically you could import one new far cheaper than through a dealer? obviously it would need to come from a right hand drive country. cheers matt

How much? It's for '87 325 mine has a gremlin only ever seems to happen when I need a WOF. Was unaware that they are interchangable between 4 - 6 cyl, thanks cheers matt

Guess at water in electrics somewhere, getting warm and running sweet but then condensating as it cools? If not just throw $$$ at it usually works.. cheers Matt

As a youngster growing up in rural NZ (in standard 3 I think) a mate and I accidently burnt down a hay barn with tractor and hay truck in it. We were trying to smoke.... never confessed. Many years later learnt the farmer concerned was in financial strife, insurance didn't pay as suspected he'd lit it himself, moral don't smoke...

E39 540, mostly town driving we're averaging 12.5-15 ltr/100km (depends if Vicki or myself driving, I tend to be a bit abusive ) open road gets down to around 11.5. In saying that I've had the 18+ but it was fun... cheers Matt

I'd bet was very sleepy little hic town when I was there. Was in Rangiora just aftrer New Years seems to have tidied up from when I was last there (probably 15yrs ago). Rick Reid is mate who knew Anthony not sure of the connection think he lived in Rangiora at som estage in Chch now. cheers Matt

No DVD just has eject botton and BMW NAV written on it, was a dumb Q does that mean there is a NZ CD available? Not used to having so much stuff in a car big step up from the E30. Thanks for the other info. The rims aren't staggered but are 8 1/2" not 8" as first mentioned. Yep bought through Tristram cars and sold by Tristram's to previous owners 3+ years ago. cheers Matt

Was built in Rangiora was to be a drift car but too tidy. Was sold for 6k about 9 months ago. I've never been in it but good mate has goes really well apparently. If anyones seriously keen I may be able to contact the guy who built it. cheers Matt

Thanks, back end has kit not sure what but looks sweet, have a tow bar sticking out the arse ugly! but very handy. btccm3 Jared? would be great in manual maybe not so cool in traffic - had a good trash using the steptronic was cool takes a bit to get used too! Q. Can anyone tell me what the little button marked "S EDC" is? & "ASC"(figure traction control?) both located on the centre console below the OBC. Well been a few weeks of thrashing around and got to say lovin it... 96 540i, 170km been local for last 4 years (have service history) in NZ for 6 some sort of kit, different mirrors, 18x8" rims (don't know if they're genuine but who cares they look tit's) Motorsport suspension new in the front about a year ago not sure about the backs but lowered All the usual electric bits and the TV works, though the Nav only has Japan? 5x new tyres 235/40 Pontenza? 3 year break down insurance. Exhaust not sure but is a fair bit louder then normal and record's show the cats have been removed Had Coombes Johnston check over it and service came back with good report no issues, needs brake pads/disks thats about it. I don't have a manual so there's a few things I'm still working out.. Only 1 pic sorry something bad happening to my camera, will have another crack when I next clean it. cheers Matt
