    Brake upgrade

Yes if you have ABS if not you will need to make up a 'T' to split the front lines as M/S will only have 2 outlets 1 front 1 back.. pretty easy to do I think Glenn did a bit of a write up when he did his. cheers Matt

    Brake upgrade

I've fitted a 25mm master cylinder (have biggger brakes on the front) made a massive difference. Good luck finding M/S though got mine from a wrecked 750 '89 I think. cheers Matt
  4. A lady walks into a BMW dealership and browses around. Suddenly she spots the most perfect, beautiful car and walks over to inspect it. As she bends forward to feel the fine leather upholstery, an unexpected little fart escapes her. Very embarrassed, she anxiously looks around to see if anyone has noticed and hopes a sales person doesn't pop up right now. As she turns back, there standing next to her is a salesman. With a pleasant smile he greets her, "Good day, Madame. How may we help you today? " Trying to maintain an air of sophistication and acting as though nothing had happened, she smiles back and asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely vehicle? " Still smiling pleasantly, he replies, "Madame, I'm very sorry to say that if you farted just touching it, you are going to sh*t yourself when you hear the price."

    Bad Fuel

Bad fuel is more common than you would believe.. (I do a lot of work for a very large oil company) call the brand and inform them it may be an indication of a bigger problem ie leaking tank in an area with high water table. Oil companies take this very seriously. cheers Matt
  12. My brake light warning thing comes on every time I start the car it goes out when the pedal is depressed the first time... I agree with Andrew though I'd probably be a little more polite about it, is OBC part of the WOF check? cheers Matt
  13. The fan unit is behind the fire wall access from the engine bay.. your window is possibly a damaged wire/connection earthing check at the doors where it goes through the door pillar you can get to the connector block through the speaker hole. good luck cheers Matt

    Engine Hoisting Nfo

wooden floor would be ok maybe get a sheet of packing ply and lay it on the floor before you put the car in.. make for nice even surface. cheers Matt

    Engine Hoisting Nfo

Ha Ha.. having taken engine and box out the top on mine and witnessed the out the bottom method I'd deffinitly drop the cross member and take it out from underneth, way faster.. If you've got 2m in front of the car you should have enough space. This is just my opinion... good luck either way Gus cheers Matt
  21. there's one running in chch not sure if its on the road but it's deffinitly a driver.. will see if I can get some pics sent up..
  22. Your correct Gus.. sand paper and lots of time start with an 80 grit paper to get the varnish off.. then higher grades to finish off. You could use a stripper but check it on the steel part to make sure there's no reaction (from my experience Coopers is by far the best) You can get all sorts of varnish satin or mat finish I'd advise using an exterior or marine varnish as interior stuff tends to yellow and craze in the sun. maybe talk to a car restorer cheers Matt edit: DON"T use any sort of power tool it will melt the varnish then it just soaks into the wood making for more sanding.

    Turboing an e30

any vehicle will go sideways.... my wife put a Ford transit lwb sideways :mosh: (deliberatly) (see drove the film crews in the Police 10/7 TV show) Anyway isn't sideways a natural way to corner? (of course only in a controled environment)
  24. leave your car in the sun for a bit or use a heat gun to warm the plastic sill..then slide the cover bits off you may need to pull the back seat out/up. to get the clips out use a set of nippers (they are things for pulling nails etc any hardware store will have them) good luck.. as Ollie said they are c***s cheers Matt
