    JiB's POS

Advans. 2.5X the price of R888's. Value wise the R888's are superior to anything out there.

I did. I spent ages with them trying to sort it out. So have a ton of other guys. The plan would have suited my family really well if it did not have all the problems listed. They never did explain to me why the latency was so bad.

Sorry Penry. My experience with Big Time is an extremely bad one. The night it was swapped over my latency shot up through the roof. I was not able to play any games within NZ or Aussie with less than 250 ping. The 7 hours of which they give you to download in their off peak hours my speed never even got to half the speed it use to on Go Large. Around 350kb/s which is a joke. Youtube would not stream anymore Online Games were unplayable Their Torrents shaping also includes HTTP downloads of their choice. Expect no faster than 200kb/s during the day on ADSL1 I would have rather paid a little more for the plan if it gave us a little more freedom. If you go to a forum like GPforums there is a 30 odd page thread of people complaining about Big Time. If you want to experience late 90's internet then sign up for this plan.

Strange. I just ditched Telecom due to the bullshit way they bill you. Was on the 40gb Pro plan as I was forced off the Go-Large Unlimited plan. Once you go over your 40gb you get charged at .2c per MB. Thats $20 per GB. Which is a total rip off. I tried going back onto their Big Time plan. Which is so heavily "managed" that i dubed it the '1999 Internet Speed Emulator Plan'. It is a shockingly slow connection that eliminates its own purpose of being unlimited bandwidth. After around 30 years of Telecom over two numbers we moved to Telstra Clear. Which is working out great.
  5. It pretty much just goes off your speed sensor wire that goes to your ECU. You also have to set things like rim size and tyre profile. They are ok. For $100. I had one back in 2002 I think so they are pretty old.
  6. Woh whats all this about. Let the mods do the telling off guys. Just report any bad posts and move on. Don't fuel the fire. Vid NSFW but fitting just turn down the volume.
  7. They needed to show more footage of them thrashing the cars through that road. Here's the road. Look how awesome it is. Thats all we have time for tonight.
  8. Oh nice one. Happy Birthday Glenn have a great 60th.
  9. Yeah on the E39's you can hold down the two stalks on the dash cluster to have it turn to diagnostics mode. Then one of the tests will turn everything on and do full sweeps like what Brent is doing.
  10. Great a Chinese Van. As if their cars were not deadly enough in a crash.
  11. Love the end. "My God! I'd like to shake your Daddy's hand"
  12. +1 Feel that he should be gagged.
  13. It was only reposted a week ago too.
  14. Mark Babbs BMW would be great. Also gets you into a real race class. But it may be more than your wanting to spend.
  15. Incorrect. Those gtrs can not be complied through the special interest vehicles clause. This only applies to cars that are not yet in the country and you must apply for that car to be included before you import it. Hence why those cars are not complied. And the chances of you having a GTR included in that clause is near nil. Why don't you look at a car that can be included in a race series. Whats the point in building up a car to race when there is nobody to race with other than yourself. You could look at the production class with the Evo's and WRX's. They are relatively stock.

    How fast are you?

I am in Bucklands Beach and don't have adsl2+. We don't get it until 2011.
  17. A two or three day event works well. With the track day being on a Monday to get costs right down. Say for a three day I would suggest something like. Saturday: Paintball 4WD Motorbikes Photoshoot and BBQ Sunday: Show and Shine in the morn then from there a cruise to Rotorua to have a go on the luge. Cruise back the long way. Then arvo free to work and check over cars get on booze etc.. Monday: Track Day With the SNZ group we had such awesome fun with the Activities. Everyone was there to have fun. The Luge was chaos and carnage and we even gave prizes to the biggest battle scars. Was trying to find you a photo of us on the Luge. About 25 of us all went at once. Was great fun. The 4WD motorbikes were well worth it. 20 odd people going flat out on those things was a real thril. Our show and shine got everyone together ready for the cruise. Mothers sponsored us so we were even able to vote for our favorite cars on the day and those people got Mothers Prizes. For the south island people some effort was made to get a group deal for the ferry. So quite a few came.
  18. She is a bit of Nazi at track days though.
  19. Well we had around 60 odd Silvias over the weekend. And thats just a one make event. Was just for Silvia's. Everything was discounted due to having a group. Including the Top 10 holiday park. No idea on costs but we held the track day on a Monday so that it was much much cheaper. It was also a dual Grip and Drift day. Which took a bit to organise. Being an MSNZ club made the track side of things much easier. SNZ is also a non profit organisation. You might be best to approach the NZ BMW club as I think Bimmersport is just a forum. I am surprised there is no large BMW meets. Seems to be enough enthusiasts.
  20. This has already been discussed a few times. If you want an example of a good mega meet from a car club I can get you all the details from the Nissan Silvia Car clubs Taupo meet. It was huge. We also hired the track for the day. Went paintballing and 4wd motorbiking. Had a cruise to Rotorua for the luge. Most of us stayed in the top ten holiday park not far from the track. Was a 3 day event. We even had our own little show and shine on the main road of Taupo that was organised with the Council. It was a massive amount of work though. But I would love to be involved with a BMW Mega meet. I think the numbers would be huge. SNZ had members come from all over NZ for it.
