  1. Haha thats nothing compaired how I tried to mow the dirt the following weekend.
  2. It is? Thought it was stale as hell personally. Very few new people in the spotlight. The Amature drifting is the stuff to watch. Hampton might bring it back a little as there is not as many restrictions for them. Until the track gets wrecked and they get slapped with yet another limit on how many days they can hold. Nice choice on motor though. 2jz sounds great too.
  3. My argument will always be that traveling at 90kph on the open road or motorway will only cause irritated drivers behind you to do stupid and risky things to get past you. Nobody will sit at 90kph behind you. I guess the rule is designed to cover everyone. Including the muppets towing their two ton late 80's Haynes Hunter on an unbraked trailer behind their early 90's Toyota Hilux. Try stopping within 1km without the help of other vehicles in your way. You only have to go down to the Half Moon Bay boat ramp on Thursday or Friday to see why the 90kph law exists. Just picture a late 80's Mitsi Sigma trying to pull up a run down old Haynes Hunter back up the ramp at low tide after it would not start. Fa alisie, Solosolo and Fuamatala are sitting on the bonnet trying to get traction while Tofalau trys to pull the trailer back over the end of the concrete ramp. Sorry went WAY off topic again with another story.
  4. I had a dig today and found 1x 1990 E30 immaculate body 1x M20B25 1x G260 box Think I will match them up once I chase away the spiders.
  5. You have to watch out. I got a fine for 99 in a 100 zone on the motor way the other night. $30 and 10 demerits. Was a bloody joke.
  6. It does sound like you don't have enough weight on the draw bar. Or it may not be a very well designed trailer with the axel too far forward.
  7. Yeah my BMW towbar on my E39 540 has a braked towing capacity of 1975kg's. They tow very well. Ollie, Andy and myself had a 540 convoy to Manfield with our race cars and gear. Was a very easy run. Even through the extreme twisty stuff Ollies Irish Navman took us through. The E39 comes standard with a cooler.
  8. MMmmmmm if only I didn't need to tow my race car.
  9. If you have a towbar you would be better off getting a trailer for that distance.
  10. Not really the forum for these questions. Visit the above site Braeden has listed. Closed.
  11. Yes been posted many times. Closed. Convincing Spambot though.
  12. Tarrbaby (Andrew) has a very good database to use. I have not had the best of luck with my 540. While it is getting its damage repaired I am getting the bonnet and boot repainted which turned to sh*t thanks to an extremely half assed repair.
  13. No job at the moment. Def once I have one.
  14. I already realise I am going to get $5pw from her. She is on the dole. Though she has around 6 cars on the property. I am paying for the repairs myself due to not being covered in this situation by my stupid 3rd party insurance. My last policy covered this sort of thing but this one does not apparently. Don't know why on earth I got 3rd party on a car like this. Looks like I have found her details through the title for the house. And she is not the owner of the car. Surprise surprise.
  15. End of last year a lady who wasn't watching were she was going reversed into the side of my 540. She was about to drive off when she spotted my mate watching. She said no problem I will pay. Went and got three quotes for her with an average of $1200 to fix. Her response was "F off you white C word, I ain't paying that much, I am only going to pay $400 and you have to get it fixed by my mate". Her mate works from his run down house garage so no thanks. So I need to put it through small claims. I have her Rego and Address. But I need her name etc.. Just wanting to make sure I obtain all the details legally. What is my best avenue? The name I gave on the small claims form for her last year does not exist. Which does not surprise me.

    E65's

04 I think. Is in pristine condition. We were on the hunt for an NZ new one only. Plenty of shitty Singapore ones around.
  17. I can't believe they don't get Black flagged. Then slapped with life time Bans from racing for these antics. Imagine the biffos after the race if this was the E30 racing.

    E65's

We recently purchased a E65 745 for a friend. Was NZ new and had pretty much the entire options list ticked. Including that self leveling suspension. Was someones from Jerry Claytons I think. Got it for $35K. Done 65,000kms.
  19. Haha awesome. But I bet you Pinche rubbed that Iphone all over his nuts for around 6 hours.

    XR6 Turbo Utes

I am only towing around 1.3 ton max. Thats including all my gear and the trailer. The Ford towbar is rated to 1900kg. The same as my E39 BMW towbar. (Braked) The Turbo brings on tourqe sooner than the 8. You have to remember this is a huge 6cyl. 4ltrs. Thats nearly the same capacity as my E39. They are tuned to be very Lazy as not to out perform the Boss 8. Otherwise nobody would buy the 8. There is one on TM at the moment with 270RWKW (Not Flywheel 300 like the Maloo) on only 8psi. At 10psi it is over 320rwkw. That is a crapton of power for such a little amount of boost. Would give me something to play with too. I don't really want to pay $10,000 more for a Bodykitted Ute thats 2-3 years older than a $20K XR6 Turbo. Going to really look into the brakes though. And it sounds like the 4spd is crap. I wouldn't buy one with all the work done as I never trust other peoples work. But this is an example. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-269380265.htm This one is kinda growing on me. If it was blue or black or something I would be on it. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-267303305.htm Red one down the line is nice. I am over red cars. But better than baby poo. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-222117900.htm

    XR6 Turbo Utes

I have very little interest in the Holdens. The Maloo is way overpriced for what you get. The SS is the equvilent to the XR6 turbo, yet is out performed by it but still in the same price bracket. And the S (is this the V6?) is gutless for towing as is the NA XR6. I see there is many upgrades for the brakes on the falcons. This must be quite a common let down.
  22. Agree with the idea to put the standard wheels back on. Those 18's make it look like a 318 with an M3 badge. Do what you can to attract the enthusiasts. Good luck.

    XR6 Turbo Utes

I think you are right Kieran. There is near none around. Obviously quite popular at the moment. Plenty of Sedans. But I am not interested in a sedan. Would rather just keep the 540. And I would also rather keep the 540 over driving a diesel workhorse. I have to have a little bit of performance. Sounds like you had a bloody good run with your one Tony.

    XR6 Turbo Utes

Cheers guys. Just looking at the prices of the equivalent V8 model and the Holdens the XR6 Turbo seems to be valued quite high. You can get a 5 year newer NA model for the same price. But my god do they have horrid colors. Various shades of Baby sh*t. Will go for a wonder through a dealer and see what they have on offer. The Diff's are a worry though. Wonder why they wear so badly. Haha have a read of this Auction. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-267237701.htm
