There has to be issues ah. That wasn't just a start price. It was reserve. Only a few months back I was looking at 2003 540M's at that price.

Make sure you name the photos correctly. Like E34 Dash Cluster or something. Photos like that are so hard to find in a quick google. Was looking for some the other day for the E39. I did read a thread on how to convert your standard bulbs to LED's a little while back. And they still worked on the dimmer switch which was awesome. It was for an E30 though.

Wow the Apple apps are great. Just wish they worked on a phone that is not a complete rip off.

Cheers. If you have any queries just let me know.

Sometimes it takes experiences like Mike has received to realise you don't enjoy the business your in. It has obviously made him sit back and have a go over. Pretty sure he would not just dump the business because of a few muppets. They are just part of the problem of which he no longer enjoys. -
Oh god. Really going to get myself in trouble with a finance company if I keep looking at these cars.

I love it. We got told all about it when we were invited to the Secretary of Toyota's house in Palmy with the BMW race series guys. Even he said it was a bit pricey. But also mentioned at the time Toyota was not bringing any into NZ. But that doesn't stop people importing one them self. Might be a while to we see one cruising around.

Oh and still make sure you check the tamper dot. Most of them get modified before they get exported to fetch more at auction. Quite common on SingaPOOR models. Not so much on Jap models anymore.

The good thing about the TU Brent is the power is in the perfect place for towing. Which is what my car is for. Would suite me well. But Ray refuses to swap with me. I may end up selling this current one and purchasing a late model diesel E39 if I can find one in my price range. Diesel has the same torque as the B44's! Will miss the V8 though. I see this one is back up for sale. Must be rare being Manual. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-266933356.htm

Half my E39 came from this Man. Haha. No doubt the other half will one day too.

Not sure it has been mentioned but being a 12 year old car with those Km's I would check the tamper dot. It is a little red dot that is displayed on the dash just after the Trip KM's in the bottom center. If it is not there you should be ok. If you are getting the car checked by a workshop some shops have the GT1 system that can talk to all the systems to determine if there is any KM mismatches.

I have been wondering what would be involved if at all possible to upgrade from the M62B44 to the M62TUB44. Ray threw me the keys to his E39 the other day. And after a short drive around the block I realised how much better the TU is. The specs are so close but the drive is totally different. My car feels like a filthy old drey compared. More Torque, Torque more usable, peak power in a better place and more responsive. I can't imagine the drive by wire system would be that easy to integrate though.

Bugger. Racepro. Will be a 300% margin on everything. I wanted some of the thicker stuff so I can put my hand on the tunnel without getting burnt. I might wrap the exhaust to help with the melting shoes and get some of that 3M tape for the inside of the tunnel. Some of the Nimbus light material would be great between the exhaust and body. Cheers guys.

Hey guys. Just wondering where some local Auckland places are for purchasing some interior heat mat/shield things. Similar to this stuff http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/heat_shield.php Or this stuff http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/lava_mat.php Reason why is I have no interior heat shielding and my exhaust heats up the floor (through the external shield) and melts my boot or shoes. Also wanted to fit some around the gearbox tunnel to keep the heat out a little. Wanting Car specific stuff. The generic stuff I found was a bit too bulky.

Hmmm I am still weary of the op. No details of who they are. No BMW. I would refrain from posting for now guys.

Ditch the SR and go for a cheaper 1JZ. More power, more reliable, cheaper. This is coming from someone who has owned various SR powered 180's for the last 9 years.

Nice I lived 2 mins around the corner in Shepards Bush Massive. Seen the van a few times driving around. It drove past my mate while he was getting into his car. Looks like he is breaking into it though.

Take it into Autolign on Carbine Road. Had mine done there last week. They can also supply you with new bushes. Gave them my entire subframe to get all the rear bushes done.

Boyce will have his up for sale sometime soon as he plans to go overseas. Not sure on dates though.
