    Class Bores Me

Did a similar class last year. So sh*t. I just let everyone copy off me in the exam which took me about 30 mins out of 2 hours. Spent the rest of the exam on Bimmersport and Facebook. I am going to do a BIS next year if I can be bothered. Pretty much the same sh*t I just did in my Diploma but even more unexciting.
  3. My plate was $300. Got it for my 21st 7 years ago. Will never buy one myself. My plate now resides under some BMW parts in the garage for the rest of time.
  4. Most people on here suggest to stay away from the 6 cyln E39's. They are quite gutless. It is always best to get a pre inspection check done by a BMW specialist.
  5. Hey guys. Scanned my brothers 728 to see why his ABS lights were coming on and it looks like he has some faulty Wheel Speed Sensors. So will replace them soon. Here is the codes. 041 Wheel Speed, rear right 019 ASC monitoring 038 Wheel Speed, front left Now ASC is of course the traction control. Would this be caused by the faulty Wheel speed sensors? Or is this a complete differant unit? They all came at once. Just want to make sure. Was using a X431 Diagnostic tool.
  6. Name and Shame them I say. Hit up Fair Go. Most companies will do what they can to avoid bad publicity. Being a young business owner/operator thats been wronged by a larger corporate I would think Fair Go would like a story like that.
  7. I am not BMW obsessed. I just like them. I would happily put mine through a crusher to get my hands on a New Jag XFR. I just find BMW's best value for money in my price range.
  8. What JIB said is pretty much dead on. I found the E30's to be very snappy and unpredictable at higher speeds. This was due to the short wheel base. There is one E30 drifter in NZ. But that car has a Nissan RB20DET in it. Never seen it run myself. But as for the burnouts and stunts on the front page. Meh. Nothing new. This is a drifting stunt show. No doubt where the African guy got his idea. Cars a little more powerful than an E30.
  9. MmmmmMmmMMmmmmmmMMMmMMM Will swap you an E39 540, E30 #42 Race Series Car, E38 and two E36's. Oh and another E30.
  10. Vodafone killed supper club when they moved to the viaduct. Use to go up there every Friday after work.
  11. Unless your making the music I have a very low carefactor. It seems that 90% of Aucklands "Dj's" are just someones mate with some CD mixers slamming together some of last seasons Mainstream ripped Ministry albums. And thats why I reckon town doesn't pull the crouds anymore DRTDVL. Though 10 years ago was when the drinking age dropped. And the flood of gumby 18 year olds (me included) hit the bars every night we could. Wed = Parnell Thur = Howick (from East auckland) Fri = London Shed (east) Sat = Town Now I am old and all the bars are sh*t.
  12. You are better off purchasing two good HDD's. And just have them mirror each other. A few keen photographers I know use flicker or whatever it is called. But when viewing their albums I can't stand the layout. Most photo sharing sites do compress your photos if your not a premium customer. I picked up 4x 1TB WD Caviar Black HDD's from Computer Lounge for under $200 each. And they are pretty much the quickest HDD's we have avalible in NZ without going to SSD drives. Forget externals. They get banged around to much. HDD's don't like that.
  13. Perfect for when you want to go postal at the office.
  14. Or having your partner... getting carried away I think.
  15. Its a fad you will get bored of it after a few months. Unless your extremely good or have parties every other weekend. Got so many mates who wasted money on their own gear. Should add that they sucked. And realized this themselves after a few months. lol.
  16. Eating a hot Pie is 10X more dangerous than a Cell Phone while driving
  17. We changed my mates street Enis Ave for years. Now what letter do you think we put in front of it? On a very busy school road in Pakuranga too. Got many a laugh.
  18. My sister would last around 21 mins with that power Glenn. 20mins sitting in driveway checking make up. 1 min spinning into a powerpole.
  19. Well after all that and being warned the A class Mercs are a no go I went and had a look at a 97 318TI this afternoon. And was stoked it had only one of the problems I listed. The head lining. But I got it at a good price so will get the head lining repaired by Ben's Auto Trimmers on the Pak Highway. As you guys said. There is indeed good ones out there. Just a shame I had to look at so many sh*t overpriced ones first. Sister will be very happy with it I would think. Is a 97 318ti M-Sport in Silver.
  20. Hah cheers for the heads up Glenn Even at 50,000kms? I would be bringing it into you to have a look at anyway Glenn.
  21. Dont worry. You will get over it.
  22. I didn't. I called the interior of the ones I looked at Rubbish. I was looking for answers as to why they may be like this. 3pedals helped me answer this. I don't care that your one has none of those faults. Lucky for those that let me know. The cars I was looking at were all Jap imports. Sorry if I hurt anyones feelings by bashing their beloved E36 interiors.
  23. Late Model E36's. Otherwise I would have stated other model numbers. I know they are over 10 years old. I am just really dissipointed in the ones I have seen. Mechanicaly they were all sound. We decided to go for a A class merc now anyway though. Would have still prefered to keep it BMW. But just did not find a well maintained one around. Oh and your right mike. I have seen many a 20+ year old E30 in better everyday condition.
  24. Or lack of. Have been looking at getting an E36 for the family. Is it just me or is the interior of an E36 total rubbish? Nearly every car I have looked at has had broken door trims and/or handles. Most of them have sagging Head linings. Ether the Air con or Heater doesn't work. Fuel gauges work when they feel like it. And speakers are all blown. The drivers and passenger seats wiggle around like they have been maintaining a 150kg ass. This is not just one car. I have looked at 6 E36's in the last week. Mostly late model ones. 97-98 etc. They have all been rubbish. All the cars I looked at had around 100,000 - 130,000kms. Gone off them now. Have started to look at A Class Mercs instead. Now thats a kick in the balls for the E36. Would much rather spend the extra and go for another E39 if I was able to.
