  1. +1 Feel that he should be gagged.
  2. It was only reposted a week ago too.
  3. Mark Babbs BMW would be great. Also gets you into a real race class. But it may be more than your wanting to spend.
  4. Incorrect. Those gtrs can not be complied through the special interest vehicles clause. This only applies to cars that are not yet in the country and you must apply for that car to be included before you import it. Hence why those cars are not complied. And the chances of you having a GTR included in that clause is near nil. Why don't you look at a car that can be included in a race series. Whats the point in building up a car to race when there is nobody to race with other than yourself. You could look at the production class with the Evo's and WRX's. They are relatively stock.

    How fast are you?

I am in Bucklands Beach and don't have adsl2+. We don't get it until 2011.
  6. A two or three day event works well. With the track day being on a Monday to get costs right down. Say for a three day I would suggest something like. Saturday: Paintball 4WD Motorbikes Photoshoot and BBQ Sunday: Show and Shine in the morn then from there a cruise to Rotorua to have a go on the luge. Cruise back the long way. Then arvo free to work and check over cars get on booze etc.. Monday: Track Day With the SNZ group we had such awesome fun with the Activities. Everyone was there to have fun. The Luge was chaos and carnage and we even gave prizes to the biggest battle scars. Was trying to find you a photo of us on the Luge. About 25 of us all went at once. Was great fun. The 4WD motorbikes were well worth it. 20 odd people going flat out on those things was a real thril. Our show and shine got everyone together ready for the cruise. Mothers sponsored us so we were even able to vote for our favorite cars on the day and those people got Mothers Prizes. For the south island people some effort was made to get a group deal for the ferry. So quite a few came.
  7. She is a bit of Nazi at track days though.
  8. Well we had around 60 odd Silvias over the weekend. And thats just a one make event. Was just for Silvia's. Everything was discounted due to having a group. Including the Top 10 holiday park. No idea on costs but we held the track day on a Monday so that it was much much cheaper. It was also a dual Grip and Drift day. Which took a bit to organise. Being an MSNZ club made the track side of things much easier. SNZ is also a non profit organisation. You might be best to approach the NZ BMW club as I think Bimmersport is just a forum. I am surprised there is no large BMW meets. Seems to be enough enthusiasts.
  9. This has already been discussed a few times. If you want an example of a good mega meet from a car club I can get you all the details from the Nissan Silvia Car clubs Taupo meet. It was huge. We also hired the track for the day. Went paintballing and 4wd motorbiking. Had a cruise to Rotorua for the luge. Most of us stayed in the top ten holiday park not far from the track. Was a 3 day event. We even had our own little show and shine on the main road of Taupo that was organised with the Council. It was a massive amount of work though. But I would love to be involved with a BMW Mega meet. I think the numbers would be huge. SNZ had members come from all over NZ for it.
  10. My butt called my dads 0800 number for close to 3 hours. I only noticed when my leg was getting warm due to the phone being very hot. Doubt I can have kids now after that phone call.
  11. Germans came along and the French no doubt just gave up.
  12. Yeah couldn't watch the video due to this. 2JZGTE conversions. Yawn. Seen them in everything. Including an E39 which was once a 520. They are best bang for buck though. But to me the M5's V8 is what made the M5 appeal to me. With no V8 it is just a bodykitted 520 with a supra motor like the one I read about years ago.
  13. Nice never seen one of those before.

    Californication

Agree. Watching Season 5 now. Best light comedy around. Never watched Cali fornication or House. Don't like the main actors. Gary Unmarried is another good comedy. And I have been watching the new series called Flashforward. Not sure if it is out here yet. Downloaded Gossip Girl for my Sister. Then started watching it due to a large volume of chicks I would love to ........ I can't stand medical drama's or anything to do with medicine. Other than Scrubs. Like my Sci fi stuff though. Like. BSG Defying Gravity Fringe Oh and I just watched the entire Red Dwarf series again. Is awesome.
  15. $9600 for an M20. Your being robbed. My rebuilt SR20DET from my 180sx which had forged pistons, rods, rebuilt head, sleeved cylinders, and many many many much more expensive aftermarket parts, cost $3K less than that. With a Turbo upgrade this motor was capable of 300rwkw. So much care and time was taken to assemble it. A race prepped M20 for the E30 series would be half that with everything replaced and machine work.
  16. All depends on what needs doing. I had my gearbox rebuilt at the same time and also had machine work done. Best to call them.
  17. Yeah just quoting what I said in Sick Puppy's post. Other than those points. Treat it like it is the most anal WOF check guy that hates your guts so is going out of his way to find problems. If you think that and still can't find problems. She should get through ok.
  18. Bavarian rebuilt mine in two days and it needed machining. And it hasn't missed a beat since I started racing.

    C String

Pics are required for me to understand this concept.
  20. With a hit like that I would also be checking the subframe. And possibly getting it checked on a carOliner. I have seen less damage that has bent the subframe. Car will align ok but will crab. Prob better off paying the $800 and getting it done right. You can't tell if a subframe is bent by eye. Unless it is seriously stuffed.

    European Contiki

Yeah don't mistake those Urinals next to the canals that dump straight into the canals for the teleporters ether.

Did the same tour as Brett in 2005. What I found great was that your on a Bus with 50 other people who are all in the same mind set as yourself. The friends I made on my tour I still talk to on a regular basis. And after the tour we all gathered up and did some more traveling back to the places we liked. Don't take a short tour. They are rushed. The longer tours give you more time in each place. WARNING!! Don't hook up with a chick the first night!!!! Ended up being stuck with the same one the whole tour. Haha. All good though. WARNING!! 2!!! Over half the people on your tour will be Aussies. Learn to live with them. WARNING!! 3!! Don't go overboard in Amsterdam. Everyone does. I was there on Orange day which is a nation wide party. I pretty much teleported from the back alleys of the Red Light district to London. Don't remember Belgium at all. Apparently I spent around 120 euros on Chocolate. Then had to get a hotel room in London for 2 days as I couldn't figure out where to go to get back to my mates flat.
