Just to let you know. I have the new Hella front and rears on my 540. They are great. Were on the car when I purchased them though.

Best to ask one of our resident BMW wreckers. If they see the post they might be able to help you. But you will have to get a little more info. As there is many variations. Some much more valuable than others. Pictures is the best way.

My sisters old car is up for sale. Would make a good first car or a great econo runaround. Flew through a WOF an hour ago. Pics are sh*t. It is actually a nice shade of red. Has full black leather interior. Is an auction so you could get it cheap. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...amp;permanent=0

Cheers for the tips guys. I think I will set the car up with a seperate fuel switch and new pump. And then try a few different AFM's. Hard to find a good 24 year old AFM. Then get her back on the Dyno and test it at a Puke open day.

Yeah I went back and forth in my one a few times during the weekend. Taking ear plugs next time. I had to actually speed a little to make it quiet. 90-110kph is its loudest range.

24L/100 in Dads E55 AMG towing the E30 with the worlds wrost designed trailer (dead Flat front like a wall). Thats down to Taupo. But the race car has never accelerated that fast before. And it's engine was off. Was great setting cruise control and not having to worry about hills and all that.

Hey guys. I have a strange and hard to diagnose problem with my Series car. My car is a PFL 4door 320. With a PFL M20B20. Symptom: Under full throttle acceleration I can occasionally loose a ton of power intermittently. Occurs for roughly 2-5 seconds. This large loss usually occurs just after going through castrol onto the back straight going from 3rd to 4th and exiting the hair pin going from 2nd to 3rd. Once I have changed gear the car feels very flat. Is still accelerating but with my less HP. Enough of a loss that an evenly matched car will catch up to me easily. It has happened mid way down the back straight and coming over the hill. This issue seems to get worse in the later laps. But the annoying thing is that it does not always happen. This problem does not occur on the Dyno. I run a near full tank of fuel for a race. 45L+ I have changed the plugs from stock to Bosch Super 4 to NGK colder temp plugs. With no change. Have changed the coil from stock to Bosch Super 40 to stock again with no change. Will be changing the leads again soon. Now after talking to Glenn I am going to check the fuel pressure while on the track when I can. But this power loss is not a miss and the car is not running lean. In fact it is running quite rich. When this car does get fuel surge she stutters quite badly. Could it be something to do with the TPS? Would it cause a problem like this?

Not sure what car went off. Was a white one. Not many decals.

Yeah I had a heap of fun over the weekend. Vert tired now though. And that little bit more deaf than I was on Thursday. Everyone really stepped it up a notch today in the E30's. The reverse grid was great fun but such a shame they made us waste 3 laps behind the SC. When there was no need for it. Was surprised to see 7 cars enter into the 1:14's in the last points race. Time to pull the E30 ignition and fuel system apart to figure out why I loose power after coming through castrol and going around the hairpin. Suspected Fuel Pressure loss. Got worse and worse over the weekend.

Yeah was some close racing in that 2nd group. Marty had to fight for that 1st place thats for sure. The open class reverse grid was awesome at the start. If there is not enough track to get past. Just use the grass. Haha. BTW I was still not able to connect to you machine. Something your end is blocking me from the workgroup.

Wll come say hi tomorrow. I am crammed in behind the weigh station next to Paul, Mark and Marty. Have a few issues to sort out with my car tomorrow. Was really happy with it Friday. Not happy with it today. Getting out there early so I can find the horses that escaped my engine bay.

Been there all day having a practice. Track is in good condition. Especially the hairpin. Which has a ton of grip even in the wet. Castrol and the hill is still the slippery spots. Many an E30 did some 720 spins at castrol. Only one casualty when I left at around 4. Sadly an E30 backed into the wall hard at the top of the hill. But they are rushing to get it together for tomorrow I understand. See you tomorrow.

Awesome cheers Mark. Well Mr Babb came up with a very simple design that works great. Two wooden dowels the same size and length as the AAA's and a positive and negative wire. As simple as that. Will go and see Jaycar again tomorrow afternoon and get that kit. Will post some pics.

Hey guys. I want to run my little Go-Pro camera in my race car from the 12v mains. It runs on 2x AAA batteries. It has already been slightly moddifed to run like this. But I dont have the the rest of it. Can anybody help me here? Or suggest somewhere to go. I asked the guys at Jaycar. But the guy was more interested in spading this horrid looking female.

Because it already has a Vin number it should be fine to get re-registered. Airbags do not matter if it did not come with them. If it did. You will need to replace them.

Ponsonby, sh*t. House, Awesome.

Yeah I don't like this back to back sh*t ether. But it must be like that to make it easier. But it means the 2nd group wont get to watch the first group at all. And the first group will miss most of the 2nd group due to weigh in wait.

Make sure you stick around for the last race on Sunday. Race 35 is a 12 Lapper (double normal).

They should have used the Kiwi "jet pack" Is a much better design and can stay up for a good stint. I have not tried those little shots yet. But my local dairy told me the school kids buy them by the dozen. Can't be good for concentration in class. lol

Wet + Full fields + New drivers = Carnage Should be great for the spectators.

Looking forward to this weekend. Shelley is on her way now to change all my graphics around. Will be there Friday, Sat and Sun.

I made a comment. Couldn't help myself. Those are some of the FUGLiest cars I have ever seen. Bar the corvette. I like the Vette.
