Get him a second hand trampoline. I had fun on mine for years and years.

Some nice cars on that list. But don't agree with many of them. I think they have a Frog working for their list creation team though.

Here is some of the big brands. Not really needed though. Aesthetics is more important I think. As it will no doubt be sitting near you TV in plain sight. http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components...peid=38&t=5

Yeah that is true about having to rip something to play it. Ether way a Blueray player is always good to have to show off the 1080p movies. The PS3 is an expensive Blueray player if you don't make use of its other features. $695 for the new slim model I think. ouch... But I think everyone has given you some good options and details to think about. lol. Now you just have to figure out how much you want to spend. Haha.

Just realised I don't need car 2 ether. Sold them all.

The WDTV unit has played every format they have tried. And as I said. You can update its software. Not sure about the sound as yet but will try tonight. Most ripped movies do not have HD sound too unless you are wanting to download 8gb+ movies everytime. Not worth it. Better off renting out Blueray's from the video shop. You can have 2 externals connected to it it at once. It is def the budget option for those who don't need the extended functions of a PC. My Dad who I purchased this for does not even have a home PC. Idea is to just bring his external around whenever he wants something new. If you don't play games. Don't get a PS3 or 360. They are not worth their price for their media playing capability. They can not play many codecs. Including most H.264 and all MKV formats. Which are the most common Mini-HD codecs.

The world would be a better place if that guide was still in place.

Seriously. Don't bother with a Media PC. Waste of money. I purchased a WDTV today. Had a play with it at computer lounge. Is an awesome little unit. With a great menu. Easy to use so that even your kids or Mrs could figure it out. Going to to put it through its paces tonight. But they showed me it playing a 1080 MKV file. Which most older computers can not play. Most ripped Blueray and HD files are in MKV format these days.

Got that too.

Haha some people get so carried away in the last min bidding wars. It went from a good price. To prob what it was worth. Yet both those bidders have prob not seen the car. 10K blind buy. Not smart.

For the media side of things I am getting one of these. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/wdtv/ They are cheap. Full HD. Play all the formats (PS3 does not). And saves you from having to build a media PC. And the WDTV unit can decode 1080P with out any stuttering. It is also easily portable. There is other far more expensive versions if you are wanting to get Wifi etc. But this will cost you less than half of what building a capable media PC would cost. Software for it is also upgradable for when new codecs come out. RRP: $250 + an external or Thumb drive. Then I would talk to Riley about getting a decent Receiver and Speaker package.

Ebay.com I don't think anywhere in NZ would supply them.

You got to love the f**king morons who ask questions like this. Someone is going to get a good deal though. Edit: Oh wait. Just realised this is the same car that has been for sale since I purchased my car back in March. He wanted around 17K for it when I was looking.

Why are you worried about traction control. Just turn it off when you want to do a skid. But I would also go for the LSD. Single spinner is so sh*t. At least the E34 had them. E39's don't other than the M5. But you could always install an E34 LSD if the car you get does not have one.

Where did all these problems come from. Never had any of them.

In the first vid they are going quite slow. The one I posted they are racing with a little sideways action. This is also how drifting was born btw.

Wow. Just read some of those comments. I bet the tossers making all those posts are the same tossers that sit at home with their finger on the speed dial to the broadcasting standards commission.

Also keen for pic. Sig: ROFLCOPTER vs Apocalypse Now = Lol.

Hahaha thats awesome. Shame there is so many whingers that can't take a joke though. Will be gone real quick.

Meh. Not the best by far. Just some good amature footage. Something a little faster for you. These guys have much bigger balls. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM4nhxA5hQs...re=channel_page And something a little more pro. And this guy throws this E39 around quite well.

Wow you have done heaps of work on it. Nice one. Wish I had your motivation and space. Started playing with my brothers E30 now. Just can't leave them alone. Come up to Manfield on November 14 & 15th for the Race Series. Would be keen to see it once again. Oh and as for the trimming of the rear valance. That must have been done by one of the previous owners. Was like that when I purchased it.

Isn't it a rule that all BMW motors will fit in an E30. lol. There is a V12 Twin Turbo E30 on youtube.
-
We own E30's E36's an E39 and an E38. So unbiased. Keep the E30. The E36 will be worth the same in a few years if not less. Well to someone like me that is.

Just have to look at the Series cars. They get absolutely raped around the track. And we are not allowed oil coolers. However. My mates S14 dropped his oil temps by about 30degC by installing a extremely expensive Trust oil cooler. This is race track driving temps. Does nothing on the road. 325i E30's come with a stock oil cooler that is efficient for the stock motor and I would pressume it would handle much more due to its size.

Glenn has had a silver RHD manual one in at his shop at times. Very rare.
