When I heard about this originally it pretty much confirmed my shift from Ford being the favorite manufacturer to BMW

Nice buy. Looking at getting one of these myself towards the end of the year. Not so much trademe discussion but question about these cars in general. Ive only really driven manual cars and the only powerful tiptronic I've driven is my parents 2007 Falcon. What's the torque converter drain like on these? I'm guessing since it's a V8 you can't feel it so much and would still take off quick.

With or without regulator. Drivers side 2 door. Pics of the old ones here. Mainly after prices and availability at the moment but if the price is right I will buy asap. Mainly after the motor but if someone doesn't want to split the 2 Ill take it with regulator. Motor itself Regulator (worm type)

They're quite nice. Shall probably get one sometime down the line. Will also show my friends (have a fair few jdm car mates who may like your other posters)

If you have a sunroof check the drain on that as I've heard over time they're quite common to get blocked as well.

Does this go into a sleeve which is attached to the throttle position sensor wire as well? If so then I just had a look and found it unplugged on my E30 as well

1)E30 M3 (classic nice look) 2) E31 (Distinct look, definitely like it) 3) F10 M5 (Modern, clean, sleeper to those who don't know BMWs)

Of course, I planned on something like this with the Skyline too but never got round to it. Saw it on trademe again a while ago, got the Silvia you were after?

That's quite nice. Definitely like it. Agree with the above comment as well about it being a decent replacement for what the 3 series used to be too (compact executive)

At work now (supercheap) Can order in the CRC spray on for $27.15 That's this one here http://www.crc.co.nz/Automotive-Automotive...1799e1-6784.htm Similar product to the Septone Body Deadner we stock.

Did a bit of searching and they definitely sound decent. If it's not gone in a couple of weeks when I get the money I'm interested as well.

Looking for an E30 blower resistor, same as one shown in the picture (infamous blower only running on full bore). 4 pin resistor, can see it used to have the big extra piece of plastic on it but that apeears to have been broken off.

I know you can get spray on underseals from supercheap and such. Just go down by the spraypaint and have a look in the cabinet which has all the primers and such in it (not the australian export spray cans or powerplus cans) and there are a few different products underseals from septone which should suit

Is this an oem clutch? Could be interested if it's stillavailable in a few weeks after I get my bike running right

Definitely check the rocker cover gasket and the cam seals as these are extremely common in pretty much any engine. Never worked on an M54 before but if it has a rubber gasket on the rocker cover and the gasket is quite hard then it's time for a new one

Girlfriend just got her first BMW but it has the weird aftermarket lexus style taillights which neither of us exactly like so looking at replacing them with standard ones, full assembly including the wiring to the plug would be preferred as the light fittings on this are messed up (wrong fittings) and reverse lights don't work. Looking for cheapest available at the moment if any are around, not too worried about condition. Cheers

Will probably look into heading up this year (Not far for me only being Hamilton), only reason I didn't go this year is because I was working. Would be keen on seeing a bimmersport/euro stand

Id check the oil thing first with the filter as said and air leaks. If that all fails look more into that oxygen sensor. I've had a couple of friends with similar issues (jappa cars not BMWs but should be around the same) and it's ended up being that the oxygen sensor has completely failed and giving no readings at all to the ecu making it hesitate in a similar way

Not sure, was with Solid Slide Sessions. Yeah usually out at Hampton but they have it here occasionally. I went along with my friend in his Skyline as well, R32 with a 20DET but he slides extremely well. There was another E30 there as well, not sliding but had a 1UZ-FE in it. Was a nice clean red one.

Hi all, I have been a member on here since February and a lurker since long before that but decided I'd finally do my introduction post. I am currently 18 years old and live in New Zealand. I have been a long time lover of BMWs. A couple of years ago I owned a BMW E36 323i with the M kit which I had enjoyed owning quite a lot. I later on sold this as I decided I wanted a turbod japanese car (for some reason) at which point I bought an R33 Skyline GTS-T which pushed 200kw to the wheels. I owned that car for about 9 months before deciding that it just didn't feel the same as a BMW so I have now got an E30 325i which I had bought off another bimmersport member, pretty much bone stock apart from having the motronic m20b25 in a 1985 body but in real nice condition. I recently took this out to a drift day at meremere and had a great time doing proper skids for the first time before proceeding to spin the clutch (doesn't matter thats a wearable piece anyway). So here's a picture of the E30 at the drift day and I hope to get along well within the bimmersport community. (I apologize for the rather large pictures)
