  1. yeah you shouldnt have any problem running the m20 flywheel and clutch. u will have to use the m20 starter though. . That car will be a heap better when its manual.
  2. text me. i dont have ur number on my new phone. 0274839222. cheers. oh and how was ur trip?
  3. yeah i do. why? and tyres are 195/45/16 front and 205/45/16 rear and they are 7 on front and 8 on back also just want to clear up the issues i was having were a fault of the tyre. not the rim at all.
  4. hey guys. anyone know a place to get them quite cheap? i need the one thatgoes between the tank and fp and has the return feed into it aswell? cheers oli
  5. Seeing the dash mat thread has reminded me, i had a plastic dash cover that covered the top and half the front of the dash in my old e30. It took months for me to even notice it was there, it looks like a good way to cover up cracks. does anyone know where to get one?
  6. sooo. by putting away do you mean not touching for a few years or just take it out every other sunday??
  7. Yeah lowering the front growing on me. I had a quick look under the back and with 3/4 tank of gas, south african tank. I was about 20mm off the bumpstops lol. not sure if the springs are meant to go that low :s
  8. Yeah there arent to many driveways i can get into without kissing the ashphalt with the exhaust, but i will trial it with the springs and see how it goes.
  9. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i want
  10. Facelift = lower cut rear guards, the front rails are 100mm off the ground as it is. I am considering putting my other springs in the front, will drop another 20mm or so That 1st pic gives the high in front look a little probably because that wheel is unloaded due to speedbump. its only about 25 to 30mm above tyre on the flat
  11. ok soo..... the latest is this, Put king springs in car, 50mm drop, Fitted chrome exhaust tips, Also just got my wheels. Have had a few issues with them though. 40km after fitting them the right rear tyre self destructed on the motorway. took back to tyre shop yesterday and they replaced tyre. Now this morning tyre was flat, pumped up as it is only a slow leak and now there are clunking noises from that corner. It sounds like something knocking, loose in the suspension. so will have to get that checked out tomorrow.
  12. here are some pics on my car, still having a problem with that tyre going flat, dont think its the wheels fault though.

    JiB's POS

just use a baseball bat and a towel, just be patient, that should do it.
  14. yeah those blue things cause lots of problems.
  15. they would have gone to some sort of a temp switch on the thermostat housing. possibly just extra wires in the loom when made the car incase it was specd up with something? have the wires always been loose or have you done some work around that area? if theyve always been like that i would suggest just sweeping them under the rug, or intake manifold in this case.
  16. my old flatmate works for viridian glass so he can get you a sheet made to whatever size you want with whatever thickness. you will also want it toughened and mabey a bevelled edge, he will get it drilled in the apropriate places too before it gets toughened. He does alot of perkys and on the side jobs like that so just hit me up when the time comes and he will do it alot cheaper than it would be to buy it. And to clean it take it to an engine reconditioner, i use brian at hut city reconditioners, located on gracefield road at the bottom of ynui hill. They can acid dip it, only like 15 or 20 bucks
  17. would have been keen if i didnt buy those 16s.
  18. ok.. a little delay on the pics as one of the rear tyres blew out at 100k and self destructed, luckily no damage to the wheel. will get pictures up tomorrow guys.
  19. Have just put wheels on my car. they look great. will upload pics tonight. i want to thank jono for his exellent service and for making the best of a bad situation. he was ausum to deal with. many thanks
  20. Yo call me, i can get you the glass for a good price. I was going to do this with my m20 that threw a rod out the side but never got round to it. Will look good though
  21. hey guys. i want to spruce up the underside of my racecar while its in bits. whats a good paint and mabey primer for painting suspension and drivetrain bits? i was thinking maby that engine enamel stuff? cheers oli
  22. take the trim back off. remove the plug and inspect all the wires and plugs. also check the tab where it interlocks into the back of the barrel. did it short out on the collum at all when it came off?
