  3. that is exactly what my old m20 motor looked like, even the piston was the same, but my rod was bent much more than that. even had the bits of wrist pin circlip stuck in piston like that, lol http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....;hl=sydwayz+e30
  4. a friend of mine got his e30 diff rebuilt, it has a m52 powering it and when you corner quite sharply you can hear the outer wheel skidding around, its almost a locky. it puts power down and makes the car handle great, its like point and shoot. it only cost him about 1200 and that was with new bearings and shims and alsorts. deffinatly the better way to go imo
  5. i could think of a few too,
  6. lol you will check theyre tight next time eh
  7. at that price you cant really go wrong. if worst comes to worst throw another motor in.
  8. umm im not sure about 318s but m20s are shocking for noisey tappets as you know. squeal at idle will probs be a belt or a pully, mabey a bearing in one of the pulleys.
  9. not quite, you really should listen to glenn you know. i suspect the icv is just making it go crazy because the computer detects a fault somewhere and is trying to rectify it by making the icv go crazy, it may be possible that the icv is f**ked but i dont think that would be the case. but hey you never know. icvs dont usualy have that sympton when they play up, i think there is another fault and the ecu is using the icv to try and rectify it.
  10. i have a couch i can offer. its not a very nice one though. and i wont be around much due to uni and work but hey if you want it its there
  11. all of my cars can, the race car with room to spare. and my parents cars can too. even the mazda 2 iirc 1989 holden barina 1.3 with the suzuki motor in was my best dd, i got it for 200, used it as a bumper car at tek, ended up cable tying the front bumper back on, it was manual and was very quick for what it was. it would cost me about 30 a week on gas and it did awsome handbrake skids. Could even park it with the handbrake it was that easy. i had it for about 6 months thrashed the hell out of it. had some great fun in it and then sold if for 300
  12. just drill a hole in a golf ball and glue it on. a mate of mine did that, looked pretty good.
  13. um bmw i think is the best place to go. iirc repco and soforth dont have listings for them.
  14. hmmmm. manual or auto? how did you "accel" out of the corner? i dont see how loss of drive can be related to ride height as the diff is mounted to the subframe, only possible thing i can think of is something like your subframe or trailing arms coming off and pulling the driveshaft apart, exept for that the only thing that would cause lack of drive would be clutch, gearbox, driveshaft or diff, or cvs. but they wouldnot effect ride height, Let me know what you find when you look underneath. inc pics Oli
  15. sounds like airleak to me, or maby tps or something similar, edit just checked vid. doesnot sound like an airleak. check tps maf sensor, also mabey issue in the ecu. but it definalty seems something computer or sensor related.
  16. contact john at jk southern euro, see electrical section forum sponsor. Johno51 i think his user name is. i know hes done a few of them and he can probably supply you the seal kit.
  17. tis a video and is not a bmw but imagen this in your e30? Also like this motor. very tidy job
  18. it looks like its not coming back for a second. moron.
  19. gta vice city ftw. and grand turismo 3 is the game sitting in my ps2 atm, i love that game, get the mx5 up to about 250bhp and it is a drift machine.
