  1. Yes, but without touching the plug rail it picks up the cylinder by itself, when cold it doesn't stay on five, it's on off on off etc, then when put under load it goes straight to six.
  2. That would be my next guess. New plugs, replaced the injectors, checked the injector plugs etc. As above. Yep re did those.
  3. $1600, you gotta be kidding, not worth that for a piece of plastic.
  4. Any BMW they are not practicle, we have a few IS coming into work with them half hanging off or just half gone, mine wouldn't last very long but still want them.Edit: Whars $145AU converted to NZD?

Cheers guys, yeah good day all in all really.
  6. I don't think it's reiger but i wouldn't mind a pair.
  7. It's a NZ thing. NZers are the only people who have issues about milage, i couldn't care less to be honest.
  8. Haha, good luck with that. That E38 still has plenty left in it, will do another 4.
  9. Mine goes right round to 8 which i didn't think is normal although i wouldn't be surprised if my DME wasn't standard.
  10. Well S54 setup is still do-able for me....
  11. It can be, you need to purchace shorter ride height rods for the rear, usually come with lowering spring kits for vehicles with spring front and bag rear.
  12. Sex I WANT THOSE BOTTOM LIPS!!
  13. From what i've heard, wouldn't waste money on dry sump.
  14. Was trying to picture an E30 subframe. I have read quite a bit about mods you can do to remedy the issue, two pick ups, baffled sump etc. Not really worth it.
  15. I know the S50s suffered oil starvation due to the pick up design, mine has only seen Taupo which it doesn't seem to have a problem with, don't think i'd try Hampton without modding the pick up system somehow. What's the guts with doing the E34 M50 thing? Does the oil pick up bolt straight on? Have everything i need to do it if it's not a biggy, not really a priority if it's a major.
  16. TWS is made especially for the Motorsport engines, i've found that it does run a bit hotter, i have no Vanos noise at all though. I know the S54 did the big end bearings, didn't realise the S50 did too?
  17. Rebuilt motor? What happened?
  18. Built for 500+km, being an evo the vanos may need work as will probably be noisy.

    Broken mount

Ouch, that'll have to be a pretty descent impact? Stiffness alone shouldn't do that.
  20. + 1 to Neal, the RR is a stonking bike, stupidly quick!
  21. Will put a descent pic up with a descent camara over the weekend, yeah am thinking about the grill thing, although being the "toy" not a lot of things get put in the boot.
  22. Wired it all up last night, so far sounds great, 100% happy with it, did a bit of insulation, mounted the board firmly, no rattles at all.
  23. Never saw these ones (plate), thought they by-passed all the "naughty" words.
  24. I hate the fact that people buy cars based on their resale! I buy cars because i want them. Even though you did own one Tom, i have driven plenty and i thought the fuel usage was quite good for 400bhp. And the gearbox issue i'm quite keen to hear about as this is a new one to me?
