  1. They are actually quite fun to drive admittedly. Looks good, you're lucky with this one, all red MX5s, well actually all red Mazdas i've seen look shocking, multi coloured reds.

That would have been great having a local track like that! Wierd how people choose to live near a track and don't want racing to take place on it???
  3. Same unit as this 46, think it was the technical update version in the 53.
  4. Speaking of the swirl flaps, i've seen an M57D30 swallow one which in turn stopped the motor very quickly. Nothin like giving some confidence

  6. Really? Wouldn't have thought they were that sort after? Might be worth doing. Thanks Owen.

Really? I thought they missed silverstone out the last couple of years? Brands Hatch would be a neat circuit to race on!

I thought silverstone was axed a few years ago???
  11. Yep the speedo is six digits and only has 10,000miles, not 100,000.When i say absolute mess i mean from what i can see in the very dark shed sorrounded by tractors, farm machinery and about ten years of dust! It might even scrub up quite well? Don't know how much of a job it'll be to get the motor going but am always up for a challenge ha. Thanks Andrew, will do.
  12. Just run in, should loosen up a bit now
  13. I've driven nearly all M cars except that damn 1M, all i can say is if the M division keeps heading in the same direction they're going then these cars are only going to get better and better, sure some of the car shapes will have to grow on you but they do, the E60, awsome, the F10, awsome, the F10 M5, horney as hell!
  14. Haha believe it or not i replaced a rocker gasket on an 318is yesterday that was fiji green and is now Daker, bits of fiji green starting to come through.
  15. Hey guys, have come across an actual barn find recently and have the option of possibly aquiring it, my question is what it be worth all tidied up, absolute mess at the moment. The vehicle is a 1966 Nissan Cedric Dulux Special. (Not a Datson). It has only travelled 10,000 miles, interior is red wine vinyl. Bit used but still ok. Engine is OHC straight six, dual carb. You Nissan guys that are part of clubs might have an idea or know someone who would. Just looking at tidying it up and flicking it on. Apperently the vehicle was given brand new to a Dressage competitor in '66 and was a one off special or so the story goes. Any help would be appreciated, cheers. Edit: This is what it looks like:
  16. Only thing you need worry about with the M44 is the cooling system, most of it is recycled plastic that doesn't approve to heat. The earlier ones had alloy bits such as thermostat housing, water inlets etc.Fairly nice cars, come in some neat colours too.
  17. All these people should compete against eachother for the "best example" M3 in NZ, almost like it's mandatory to say so. BTW, mine is!
  18. A faulty cam angle sensor will cause the car to be very sluggish, run rough and at worst not run at all.
  19. Because road reg keeps getting higher and higher.
  20. Sounds good, should see it next week. It's not called an M1 because the original M1 name has been copyrighted, even though it's BMWs name. The M1 was the start and end of the peformance 1. Just what we have been told from Germania.
  21. The BMW diag (GT1 or ISID) is very acurate, reads out the fault in say the DME and then provides a test sequence to follow through to identify the fault in either the wiring, module or component (cam sensor etc).
