  1. That could be a possibility but they have a lock nut holding it down also, i can provide a pic to explain better than words.
  2. Don't know about before i owned it but it's never missed a beat engine wise whilst its been in my hands, the reason i brought this up is we had another E36 M3 come in the day after and the throttle bolt was also wound up the same amount so assumed this was factory but why??? As long as the AFM is working correctly i can't see this being an issue having 100% open?
  3. Am due for a course on the non M V8 TT but have been told it's like two turbos in one, two turbines putting in twice the air etc.
  4. I had the plenum off the 3 last week to tidy a few thingys up, cleaned and metal polished the throttle bodies for that "wank" factor and basically shiny'd up every thing else, so anyway what i noticed with the throttle bodies is the fact that on full throttle they were only opening 3/4 due to the throttle stop bolt. I put it on the diag at work and the potentiometer was reading 76% on full throttle, naturally i wound the bolt down so it read 100%, turns out for three years of ownership it was running as a 330 not an M3 because now it goes like an absolute cut cat! What i want to know is why was that bolt wound up (factory?) if anyone including Glenn please could explain? Our BMW master tech of 25 years was stumped. I said throttle lots.

  6. Happy b day fella, spin a wheel.
  7. Turbo + turbo, you're right but they are twin scroll so it's turbo+ turbo+ turbo+ turbo. Can't wait to drive this, will be insane!
  8. Bathurst 12 hour is always a good race, heaps of teams, close racing etc. Prefer this to the 6 hour supercar version.
  9. As you proberly have heard by now but the lap record is still in Murphs hands as that was practice so doesn't count.

    CALLING F1 FANS

Have watched every F1 race since a long time ago! Been to several Melbourne GPs, also a fan of Schummy but think he's had his day in the lime light, pretty sure he would be just doing it for kicks now though. I'm hoping Mark wins also, he deserves it the most.
  11. Well it isn't a 4.0l V8 or a 2.8l six so you will feel it is slower obviously but with a manual box you will be able to "drive" it. P.S................best colour in the world!
  12. The person who buys this will go a long in life ha. Motorsport seats are nice.
  13. Do it...DO IT!Got a Simota panel filter for the 3, took the plenum off it, cleaned down the block from where it had its Taupo woopsy, i got carried away and now the engine bay is in pieces, currently constructing a "cold" air intake from the L/H brake duct.
  14. Such a simple engine bay.
  15. I love Mcdonalds! Yep i know the one, very cool car with the kit on it.

Please Peter please tell me where you got the spacers and how much has been spaced? Looks fully sick man, absolutely awsome from the back.
  17. The Eagle (I think) yesterday outside Domino's, on the road, not in the carpark.
  18. He says don't be put off by the pictures of the engine bay, come on Lance!
  19. Well i'm a happy boy now, just bought this today and very pleased with my purchase haha, brand spanking new Motorsport steering wheel. Sorry bout size, photobucket won't resize Just shame about the airbag colour but don't want to fork out $999 for one. And the car itself, other than being dirty nothing has changed
  20. 4th gear i think my ears started bleeding.
  21. Life saving bars? Doesn't take long huh.
  22. Are you not planning on taking the caliper off, do a far better job with it off. Screw a bolt into the brake hose thread and away ya go.
