The programming always follows a disclaimer with failing, we have to say that just in case it happens, it doesn't however, well not to me anyway. You can only kill control units by disrupting the programming/encoding. Those water cooled alternators were a sh*t idea, prob best you did have a warranty however, new they go for a round the 1200 mark

We did have one but sold with complete motor a little while ago unfortunately.

The thing that's been brought up a few times but proberly hasn't registered is insurance, it's gonna get more and more expensive for young people as time goes on due to more and more car accidents involving young people, I bought my M3 when i was 18, the premium was four figures and the excess was four figures, i know they are two different cars but any insurer will only see a young person in a BMW, so if you happen to mention a 2.8 BMW then expect the expense.

So to beat car depreciation, keep it for the rest of your life...sounds simple enough? haha.

Spending "M3" money on your own car too make a far better ride is better than owning any old M3. Once complete you'll have the pleasure of driving a car that you made better and assembled yourself.
