Hey Josh! Sorry to hear man.. As you know I ended up having to fully replace my alloy radiator too! To get around the issue, I have installed a brass sacrificial rod and I haven't had any issues as of yet since we last spoke. I haven't had to replace that rod yet either so it's fairly hassle free. Mind you, I'm going to get it checked this week again just in case

I'd gladly drive it up for you mate. In fact, I've always wanted to do a long road trip in the beast!

I hear you loud and clear man and I appreciate the advise! Although I didn't do the entire build myself, I am well and truly attached to it as I have been with all my previous BMW's. Having said that, now that the project is complete I am much more comfortable passing it onto someone who can spend more time with the car and enjoy it as it should be enjoyed! Between work, family and playing sports at an international level I have had little time to do anything with the 340i (it's basically been garaged for the past year which isn't what I want). Hopefully I can find someone that will make it an even better car and have the time to drive it everywhere so others can appreciate it. I have thought long and hard about the sale and it's time for me to move on. As I have said in the auction, I'm in no rush to sell though and I will no doubt have another BMW project in the future!

Really hard for me to do this but life priorities have changed (getting married) and it's time to find this car a new home. Seriously hoping it will stay within the community as it's truly a special car! TradeMe link below: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=642129607&ed=true Price is negotiable for Bimmersport members so if you're serious fire me a PM. Cheers, Atta

Looking good man, good to see another V8 E30 kicking about!

A HUGE thank you to Ray.. He sent me a waffle plate free of charge! This man is a legend.

Gaz, I'd consider parting with my 3 piece Hartge Wheels... You remember them right? While you're in the EU, you can grab some centre caps for it!

I knew one of the previous owners of this car (when it was in Christchurch). Guy wasn't exactly a BMW enthusiast and I don't think it was maintained all that well... Having said that, he did have a race car so he knew a thing or two about cars. He got it from 'indy cars' and then sold it back to them after a few years. All this was a few years back. With these things, you get what you pay for so I'd suspect it will need some work. P.s. colour was identical to my E36 M3 'BMW Individual Oxfordgruen Green'... LOVED that colour.

I'm so furious at myself right now. Driving around with freshly refurbished RS's without properly tightening the centre pieces with a hex tool is an incredibly stupid idea. Was driving along and heard a 'clink, clink, clink...' almost immediately realizing what had happened, slammed on the brakes, got out lf the car and confirmed that the centre cap came loose. Initially I thought the worst that could happen was I'd need to sand it back and give it a fresh coat of paint. Well, it can be much worse it turns out as I've spent the past 2 hours walking around trying to find where the damn thing ended up without any luck. I'm almost certain that it must have slipped into one of the drains. I might take another look in the morning but it looks like I'm going to have to order a brand new half-hex, Black/Gold BBS 3D Badge and somehow find a BBS RS waffle cap which I'm really hoping someone has on here?

Anyone have, or know of a pair of these tyres for sale? I know Toyo sell these however they are rare as hens teeth and cost an arm and a leg brand new.

Seriously awesome story behind this car...

Yeh, Christchurch roads are pretty terrible. Thankfully the V8 isn't my daily!

Haha, yep.. the good ol 'Protect Auto' monster truck!

Brother, I know exactly what you are describing here and you are 100% spot on! The front and rear rubber is the same width and profile (as it's the same rubber that the RS's originally came with). At this stage, I just chucked on the old rubber as a test fit to give me a better idea of where I needed to be for the perfect stance. As you suggested, I'm actually quite pleased with how the rears turned out and feel that I just need to tweak the front setup. Mainly an issue of time and $$ but the correct rubber will be the next phase for sure. I'll get there! I know the colour combinations are a little on the extravagant side but I spent a crap load of money on these things so I didn't want to leave any room for doubts that these were a custom setup. Having said that, I was definitely trying to find a balance so it didn't come across as over the top.

Yeh, that's my mates 'promo car'.. it definitely does turn heads!

Bit of a milestone today!! It's only taken me 2 years, but the RS's are FINALLY on the car. Not the best photos, but here is a quick look
