Good ol "devil skin" Don't think I have seen it anything other than the early E36 M3's... Pics quick!
-
S to the ICK! my fav 5 series shape... with alll the right mods. Looks like you got yourself a good deal man.
-
E30 in that price range would be bloody nice
-
v.nice!

Comments on X6.. I love it... I think it has huge road presence and just looks brilliant. As for this, one think comes to mind... new evo... and thats DAMN UGLY!
-
Nah, I am not really considering that car (already been through that phase and I made my choice... tidy stock). Was just curious what others thought. As you say if I do part with my baby... Evo evo evo evooo would be niice.. hell it even may be purple Then again, my mind is all over the show, better not count those chickens until they hatch ay. Try to find one like it then * That green is not your run off the mill "oxford" it's an individual with blue flakes in it (quite trippy in the sun) * Wood grain trim including wooden "m"gear nob (not everyones cup of tea but not exactly common) * Subtle mods here and there with those angel eyes looking at you aggressively Ok, not like it has a wide body kit but surely I have the right to claim unique!

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=202986660 Not quite an E46 but I am sure you won't be disappointed As I mentioned earlier on here, quite possibly will be sold soon but you never know. As for pre-purchase inspection I would recommend "Hampton Honda" (they use to be BMW specialists, ask for Jason, as he knows his sh*t) or the expensive option would be BMW on Manchester street. You could always get the AA to do it too I guess. I have other options and quite a few good BMW mechanics I can pass you onto, just flick me a PM.

Tired of this topic, yes. Good read non the less.

Evo was not the question! They are in a different price range... If you had to choose between 3.0, Hamann and Evo all same condition and same price... There is no doubt in mind my what I will go for! Yep, that one is in Chch and it's a sick piece of machinery to say the least!
-
Better not be! Has he not seen the latest TopGear analysis?? The new "cockometer breakers" are the Audi drivers! Having said that, I do really like that car...
-
Is that a faaact Siimon... bring it
-
Why not! it's a f**king beast... Seems like an s2000 motor!? That thing revs to 9grand
-
lol exactly what I thought... And YUS, this post most definitely beats my epic post from last month! Can safely say I don't hold the record anymore. P.S. Welcome !
-
Welcome to the E36 club Car is looking damn good mate.
-
Fixed. Hmm, interesting points. always assumed that was a genuine Hamann!
-
Just curious what you guys think. This thread has nothing to do with an "ego" boost yada yada so don't think twice about voting either way. I am genuinely interested to hear if people would rather a unique, tidy, stock example or a professionally tuned beast. I think this comparison is a good one and would spark some interesting discussion. Hamann M3 Tidy Stock M3 If you had the option of one (both priced the same) which would you choose and why? I think it's common knowledge that a modified BMW would never take precedence over a tidy stock example however when it's been modified by Hamann... surely that turns the tables? I personally don't agree with ANY of the visual enhancements attempted by Hamann (carbon fiber overload = YUK) however can't argue with performance! Discuss !

Thanks for the comments guys, the car is definitely special and I am very proud of how it has turned out. I have a few things popping around in my head, I am a bit like a shark I have to keep moving to stay alive. Tossing up between upgrading, racing or investing and all of these options require $$$! I am in no rush to sell and hence the car has been on the market for a while now, but as you guys have found out the magic number is $20K+ Will be very sad to see it go but I will move on to bigger and better things in the future, almost certain an MPowered car will be on the cards
-
Don't worry man, I know where you are coming from and I have addressed the issue. Thanks for the comment , I did not think of it that way. But yeh, I am sure he will understand.
-
Yeh, he is very serious however it's still not set in stone. I have taken your comment into consideration and e-mailed him about it to avoid any "hard feelings". Last thing I want to do is piss off a potential buyer... or is it ... lol, man it's going to be hard to see her go
-
The listing is still up and the potential buyer has not given me a deposit nor has suggested to me I should take it down... I would like to get as much as I can for it as I have put my heart and soul into this car! Don't know about you but $1000 is no small ammount in my books... Believe it or not it's not only about the money, I am posting here in case someone here has not seen it and is looking for arguably one of the best E36 on the market. As I mentioned, once the buyer has payed for the inspection I will take the car off the market immediately until he has made his final decision. Fair comment though, I will touch bases with him and make sure he is OK with me trying one last "push".

Sorry I left this so late, but I figure someone on here might really want a mint example E36 M3. I never posted here as I was under the assumption that everyone checks trademe but I figure it can't hurt plus I want to make sure no one here misses out. As I have suggested on the forums the car is practically sold and is going through the closing stages of the deal. Having said that, I will still accept $21K (as the current offer on the table is for $20K). Once the guy pays for the inspection I won't back out on the deal and leave it for him to decide, in other words if you want to take this car off my hands you have to be quick. He will be booking it in for inspection in a week or two (while I fix a few minor things on the car). Just got it back from the panel beaters and boy does it look good now, makes my heart sink and I keep thinking to myself... what am I doing! Anyhow, already took the leap so here is the link: TradeMe Link
-
I know man, I am almost 100% sure I am going to regret it but I have already accepted the offer so unless the sale falls through she is gone. No matter, E30 / E46 to replace it in the near future.. hell maybe even an M5 ;D! P.s. Crockett, You don't get chicks calling you up if it's professional, has FOR SALE and is not driven on the "4 Aves" at 2am in the morning. Seriously, it's one of the best ways to sell a car I found as people see the car in the flesh and can make a far better decision than seeing some photos. Just make sure you park it in high traffic areas, perhaps on a busy street.
-
As I tell most, one of the best ways to sell a car is to slap some professional "FOR SALE" stickers on the rear and side windows then drive / park it in popular areas. Secondly, a well presented Trademe auction will do you wonders... So I would definitely consider it as the lions share of the market is on there. Write it like you won't take BS from anyone, be honest and up front and as descriptive as possible with MANY good photos and you won't get BS test pilots. Check out my listing, I have had nothing but serious offers and looking at a sale as we speek (pretty much gone) for not much less than the price I am asking http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=200528809

E46 prices are dropping hard and fast. E30 prices are either going to stay the same or go up even more. This topic has been discussed before and I think the best ideas were to get a good E30 and hold on to it for a few years (taking meticulous care of it) until it's out of your system then sell. By this time, E46 prices will have dropped in a fair bit and bada bing you have a win win scenario! I think 30K+ is what you will have to be paying for a half decent E30 these days OR you can just buy my E36 so I can attempt the above
-
I hope that comment was a joke because if that's the mentality you are going in with... I worry you will fit the phrase "20K, 4 years at uni and all I have to show for it is this T Shirt" I am curious why do you want to go to uni in the first place?
