    E30 318i White

I like it ! Great photos, tidy car, love the angel eyes. Yes, not a fan of the chrome wheels but that is easily fixed if you are that way inclined. And yeh, posting lovely lady pics in these forums is like throwing a magnet in jar of nails. Too many bloody sifty old young guys here Riley's missus has some competition!?

    6er

Reminds me of a M6 turbo (alpina replica) that some guy built in Aus I think. Saw it in some car magazine the other day it was simply amazing.
  3. You better slip into that flame uniform SICK EM BOYS!
  4. Exactly, it's like I already log in then click "forums" or "private message" and 99% of the time I have to re-log in sometimes several times (including clear cache). Of course it's not that much of a "big" deal but it's damn annoying and I thought I would raise the issue so we can improve on this already brilliant site !
  5. Right, I am damn sick of this "clear browsing cache" bug. Bimmersport keeps logging me out over and over again and I keep having to clear my cache over and over again, SURELY something can be done about this! It's bloody getting on my nerves Am I the only one here!?
  6. LOL I think it's a bit harsh to suggest that car salesman don't have to be smart... If you look at all the successful car salesman out there you will find them to be extremely intelligent! There is a whole lot more involved in running a successful dealership than slapping on some dress pants and brushing your teeth in the morning. In my books, being a successful car dealer would be a dream job. Just look at the owner of Indy cars (Drives a Lambo), Rick Armstrong (Drives a Ferrari) and the list goes on... I have huge respect for car dealers that make it, it must be such a hard market to compete in as it's so damn saturated.
  7. Not 100% sure if these will fit an E46 (they are 5x120 offset). Very good condition with minor curbing. Good rubber with plenty of tread (Hankook Ventus 265/30 rear, Hankook Ventus 235/40 front). PM Me if you are interested and we can discuss price.
  8. I agree, I don't think there was any breach in particular here however my assumption is that it was because the seller CLEARLY stated the car was sold and hence the auction should be off the website? An admin probably saw this and thought... close the auction already and he did
  9. Nice car man, they are quite a bit of bang for your buck when it comes to speed. However I am afraid I have to agree with nearly everything rjac001 has said in this thread, I had an 89 legacy rs all through high school and half of UNI, my mates have owned several subarus including the model i this thread. Purely speaking from my experience: A- My 89 was in fact faster than the newer model RS (don't as me how but it was). B- 0-100 in 7 seconds on fairly stock setup (Not exactly _mega_ quick but thats bloody fast for what it was if you ask me...) C- I spent probably over $8000 in maintenance over the years I had it and ended up selling it as a rolling shell because the engine just "popped". D- These cars WILL fall to bits if thrashed. full stop (maintained or not). The simple fact of the matter is, these cars were built fast and in my opinion thats why they are so damn breakable because all the other parts can't cope with all the power. Clutch goes, trans goes, pistons go, turbos go, fuel pump goes etc... They are really nice cars, loads of options and go like stink but you must be ready to pay out of your nose in repairs if you want to "enjoy" it. Personally I would not touch an older model Subaru again with a stick (and a very long one at that). Sorry for being so negative but I had a fun yet very expensive experience and I think it's wise to learn from others mistakes . So yeh, take it easy on her!
  10. Wow I feel for you man, that bloody sux. Insurance will cover the costs to replace? Mind you, not like you can exactly replace a car like that... so nice.

    E36 M3

No worries man, everyone has their own situation and scenario. It will cost you a bit extra to consider my car as it's in Christchurch... flying down to drive it, not knowing any mechanics here etc then driving it up or shipping it... there is a fair bit to consdier. So that will bump up the price a bit more so I fully understand where you are coming from Just between me and you, I too am hoping the sale will fall though! It's probably in the best condition it has been since I bought it... full front spray etc is looking making me feel so much worse about this sale than I already am. But yeh, want to move on to other things. As for what... I have a few ideas bubbling in my head at this stage, either E46/E30 M3, nice E39 M540, E34 M5 or E30 series race car (really keen to try the racing thing at some stage). So yeh, too many options to choose from! Unfortunately it will mean I have to let my baby go.
  12. The guy is an idiot. "CAR SOLD FOR $15,000" was written on the top of the listing... Why would you even say that... Just withdraw the auction already

    E36 M3

Hi Dylan, sad to hear you sold the beast Considering the condition of my car and the other E36 M3's currently on the market, I think my car is very reasonably priced. Also, it's not like I was not considering offers or anything. Anyhow, as I have mentioned on here before (and on the trademe listing) the car is nearly sold. The guy came around to drive the car again today and he loves it, so I don't see the deal going south. Unless he is pulling my leg... I think I will be on my push bike soon .
  14. lol i hear you brother, crazy clients
  15. I like it... alot! Was eying it up on trademe too. Good buy.
  16. Hold off, be patient ! Manual all the way, but $8.5 is a tad over priced imo.
  17. I don't think that wold be a good idea to be honest... I think it will get locked within milliseconds. Just take her word for it, it's mint.
  18. I actually quite like what he has done to the front. All you need to do is whip the tail lights off, pump some air into those "bags" and you have one sexy looking 5er imo! Added bonus.. it's cheap to run and MANUAL! p.s. lady525, it's your car and as long as you like it that is all that matters... Of course people will have their opinions but you should never take them to heart. I too have copped a bit of flak for some of the mods I attempted, you just have to take the good with the bad. No real point in trying to justify yourself. Imagine if everyone posted "awesome, looks great, would not change a thing" after each show room thread... what would be the point! A little "critique" is a good thing. Personally, I don't mind the chrome look on some cars however I think for the most part I have grown to dislike it. However, if you had asked me what I thought of chrome wheels when I was 18... shiiiat! I would give you 2 thumbs up and perhaps even a toe or two. Your car is probably the center of attention within your circle of friends... don't think twice about some comments made on the internet from people who probably will never see your car in the flesh (especially when it's die hard enthusiast on the topic of chrome wheels which there is only one outcome...).
  19. Why selling so soon man? Yeh there is also Riley wit his E30 Was not exactly being serious. Looks like a nice build!
  20. Trade Me Link If I did not know better, I could almost say 340's are becoming common!
