Wow... buy now for 6500?? I think that's a bit pricey especially considering he then goes onto list all the things wrong with it!!
-
Here's the response: "It is only fit M3 style rear bumper I think, never get this before. I have to ask the factory." But why would you need an M3 diffuser if you already have an m3 bumper??.... they come with one! I now wait for the answer from the factory.
-
Yeah it is a knockoff... but if it is made for non-m3 bumpers then it's prob the best option as the OEM M3 diffuser won't fit. I've emailed the guy for more info.... hopefully I'll be able to understand the reply!!!

Found this place that sells them in NZ... well I think they're made to fit non-m3 bumpers.... I'll have to investigate. I think this is the same place that sells the replica m3 bumpers on trademe.

I recommend magwarehouse.com in CHCH mate.... they take a pic of your car, load it into their computer and then you can see any style of wheel on it, pretty neat tool. Scott at Magwarehouse is one of my clients.... he's a good bastard, go have a chat to him.

I bought a new one from BMW.... 50 bucks from memory. I rang around wreckers, but they only had jappa ones, so I just splurged.
-
Another member with the "Jatco Jerk".... join the club haha! I'm assuming your car is a Jap import? Another thread here that talks about the problem

Jesus Christ! That thing would have more toe than a roman sandal!

Here's the instructions: Downloading and converting Videos from Youtube.

I've had my German plates on for a couple of months now and had no problems. Have had two parking tickets as well and the wardens didn't notice them at all. Plates.co.nz are releasing so many new styles at the moment that I think cops just presume they must be legal!
-
Not sure why you'd want a white one.... I'd go black or silver. Then again... I don't have squillions of dollars to buy one so why does my opinion matter!!
-
Good pic.... that car is same colour as mine too, so now I know what it'll look like. Brilliant! Now just need to find somewhere in NZ that sells them.
-
I hope so.... I really want one!
-
I agree, keep the bottleys silver and leave the mudflaps on.... unless you were to lower the car slightly of course, then you wouldn't need them anymore.
-
I searched for one for 3 months until I gave in and bought a slushbox 325i. They're around but you're charged a premium for a manual cos they're so bloody rare! There's this one on Trademe...but it's a four door. ...or this one ...or even this one

Check out Sony Media Software Their Vegas editing suite is powerful yet easy to pick up.... there's a 30 day trial download... but you can get an extended trial if you know what I mean *cough*... I don't condone anything *cough*

My 'box does the same thing.... from my research it's common on the Jatco auto gearboxes that were fitted to cars sent to Japan.... It's fine once warmed up. I've also read (on here I think) that you can take it to an auto tranny specialist and they can reset the gearbox computer to fix the problem. I don't worry about it too much though because I have a 3 year mechanical warranty that was transferred to me from the previous owner.

This one is in Chch... but certainly a mint example. Perhaps worth the 700 bucks to ship across the strait? Trademe Asking price is a steep $10500... but it's been listed for AGES.... so I think they'd negotiate.
-
That $995 price is because you're buying a euro-style personalised plate. To create your own euro plate on plates.co.nz is $799 and that's without the BMW logo on it (which costs extra still). With that in mind, the dealer is prob only making $100 bucks on each plate they sell. So, if you really want one, you may have to just stump up the cash! Or.... get a German plate with your original rego... www.germanplates.com FTW!

Sony Vegas is pretty powerful and I think you can download a free version from www.sonymediasoftware.com

Yeah...will be fixing bits and pieces and finances allow. First up a new headunit, then clear lights and I'll look into the FL grilles, but I don't know if I like the rounded look. And you can't really see in the photos, but the bonnet and front bar is quite badly stonechipped... so need to sink some money into a respray at some point too. But apart from that... loving this car and I got 14l/100km from my last tank of gas (and I wasn't driving economically in the slightest)! Go VANOS!!

Here's a few new pics of my Bimmer. Got my German plates, had all the curb damage removed from the wheels, replaced all the missing interior trim parts and today I waxed and buffed that boston green paint until I could read the latest Top Gear magazine in the reflection!! .... oh and I also disconnected that bloody annoying reversing ding thingy!

I had a mate who drove car transporters and he said all the truck drivers used to take cars for skids before loading them onto their trucks. Even things like brand new Evos were being rung out. It's kind of like mechanics who use your car to go do the lunch run (Have mates who do that!!) Which is why I always note my odometer when taking my car in for repairs etc.

You can watch all the season 9 episodes online here (I use up work's bandwidth by watching them in my lunch hour!).... the Road trip to America one is my favourite http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/926 Can't wait for season 10!!!!
