    BMW 318i

I'm assuming that because he's only made two posts... this 2 year old thread will be in his most recently posted under his profile.... But still... thread dig for sure!!
  2. Total BMW's buying guide to the E60 M5 (or was it the E39) mentioned that the bigger M cars use oil. Didn't say why though!

    BMW E30 2.3L 5SPEED

    They're from a Prelude
  4. Genuine? Oooh ... how much money you got?!
  5. Old Deeveus used to post HEAPS (heaps) and then over the past couple of months he's been deathly silent! Where are you Deeveus.... been busy selling all your cars?
  6. I think Pjay might be having you on.... What he's getting at is that there are many angel eye kits to be found on Trademe. Why do you need them so urgently anyway? A desperate desire to look cool right now, or have you had an accident?
  7. I'm not sure why people leave their cars in such a mess... I bought a little Nissan for the girlfriend last week and spent most of Sunday removing dog hair from the seats with a lint roller. Also, there was an entire box of washing powder spilt in the boot, dog Bisuits in the coin holder and enough biros littering the interior for me to start my own stationery shop! Regardless.... I wouldn't recommend steam cleaning if I were you. It can play havoc with the electrics. If you must, cover all the electrics with plastic bags, then spray degreaser onto anything that looks really baked on, leave for a bit then hose off. As for dust and dirt etc I just use a damp cloth, rinsing it regularly.
  8. Nice car... but clean up that engine bay!
  9. That might possibly be because this thread is over a year old!
  10. I'd like to buy that man a beer.
  11. Hi Walter, welcome to Bimmersport... With regards to your post in the Aftermarket parts thread.... you might find the parts you're after to repair your accident damaged E30 are cheaper if you buy from a wrecker. Give Ray @ HELLBM a call (You'll find his details in the Sponsors and Preferential rates forum) Cheers, Mark.

    Gus goes shopping

"misfires at 100mph in 5th gear" Hahahah!!! How long did the 1.6 four banger take to reach that dizzying speed?!

    Photo Shop CS3

If it's already small you can't make it bigger without losing image quality. Sorry.
  14. With regards to EDC, you should probably count yourself lucky that you don't have it as it's horrendously expensive to fix if something goes wrong! Take a look at this month's Total BMW magazine, they have a maintenance guide for the E39.... IIRC it mentions something about EDC.
  15. Have you got any other weird things happening with your climate control? That could potentially be a sign of a faulty climate control panel....

    I need new Cats

If your 323i still has the stock exhaust you'll get good gains by replacing it with the cat back section from a 325i or 328i. Heaps of them about too and you can bolt it up in your garage (need the help of a mate though)
  17. Oh dear.... it's like we've stepped back in time to email gags from 1996.
  18. Find a wrecked E90 with leather interior.... would hopefully be way cheaper than 3-5k
  19. Would take a bit of work to get that looking nice again. - new wheels - remove hideous stereo installation - M-tech 2 wheel - M-tech houndstooth recaro seats Then it would look mint.

And what exactly would that be Yuen?

    I need new Cats

All good points guys... I can't hear rattling or anything and I don't think it's affecting performance so maybe next time it happens I'll just close my eyes and think of Rotorua!

    I need new Cats

Cheers Glenn... will go with the dogs option then! Haven't had it scanned, but I'll do that first before I start hacking up my exhaust.

    I need new Cats

OK, so I've got the rotten eggs/sulfur smell coming from my exhaust after spirited driving.... I know this usually means the cats are on the way out, so: What's the best option? - Replace with OEM - Replace with aftermarket - Remove and replace with resonators - Remove entirely and replace with straight pipe And should I replace the back section of the exhaust at the same time? (not that finances really allow at the moment) Cheers, Mark.
  24. Oh dear! Along the lines of "delusional owners" here's a Hartge tuned 325i... that is "like alpina but better. hartge has done a great job with mags , suppension , exhaust and kit." Yeah.... all I see is some wheels buddy. Oh, and to the "Alpina" owner's credit.... he didn't say what the German was an enthusiast of!
  25. R-E-P-O-S-T! Find out what it means to me!
