yeah if you look under the front of most E39's that valance is cracked/ peeled forward from reversing over things... some are shocking and still people dont fix them....

i havent heard of anyone using a bmw cleaning product- god to hear that its worth what you pay!also good for the seats is Hide Food (Bentley, Crewe)

Having worked at a BMW dealership. i can say that the salesmen know what you are willing to take just so you can have the new car, sometimes it is peanuts and will move the car on for a few hundered more (moving comission is $250) , and often they wont mark the car up (if its a bmw) on the yard at all. Basically BMW treat trades as cash, so long as they can get rid of it for what they paid for it they dont care what they pay you.

ok so the alarms god to go, i think you may have lock and unlosk around the wrong way, however i may have written it down the wrong way. i still need two diodes for the indicators which i will get when i have the time, then done!! cheers for the help graeme, i actually would have given up by now otherwise! ur info made it piss easy cheers

Ok so i wanted keyless entry so i went and bought the most basic uniden alarm. red and yellow (constant hot and ignition switched) and ground are easy. these are the wires i need to find on my car: -parking light (i think it should be indicators) -negative door switch -lock -unlock where might these be found on my car?

i think i may have found the motor which will be going in my old 316i for this series today, found it in a back back storage room behing all this bmw crap at wairau- looks to be an e36 twin cam 4 cyl with 2 big twin throat webers with cool looking K&N filters on ends.
