  1. Air intake takes about 5 min to remove, and throttle takes about 1- 2 min! undo the screws on the TPS and set it to its minimum on closed throttle so that when it begins to open, you hear a click.

    My e39 528ise

VERY nice wheels man, and nice price! looking good
  3. Well he seems to be wanting no less that $700? The bargaining process requires the prospective buyer to first make an offer!

    m3 query.

Where i used to work we would just be sent the new (usually E46 M3- they crapped out all the time) block/ head etc and put all the working parts of the old one onto it, and send the broken engine back to Germany. I suspect these were all under warranty however.

    m3 query.

I would be quite sure that it'd have a good history, i get the feeling that the place selling it are people who take trades from main BMW dealers. (in saying that, BMW dealers flog off cars that they dont want this way) nath~

    Happy Birthday Cain

Happy birthday man, have a great day!
  7. I had no idea that motorsport racing parts had part numbers. Learn something new every day i guess! And righto, so they have different part numbers- who exactly has this threads critical point been made to? Seems like it has turned into a "POW, take THAT people who think you know BMWs!" thread!

    325i ECU

as above, pm me, cheap or free! TPS wouldnt go amiss either....
  9. Yes those are alpina spoilers AS WELL. i used to have that style of spoiler, and i want it back! The lip pic i posted on this thread is ALSO al E30 alpina lip
  10. Either way, that car looked great! Is the 325i a white SE? The Alpina cars spoiler is an Alpina jobby
  11. Is that Tech 1 spoiler, or Alpina?
  12. Firstly have you checked your fuses and relays?
  13. Can somebody tell me EXACTLY where the engine number on an M20 is? i have ideas coming from all angles, but still cant see it

    Bmw e28 M535I 1986

I may tell a mate about it..... he recently wrote his red M535 off on a horse
  15. I realigned the TPS when i cleaned it, and the click was in the right place. Remoed ECU today and found fried circuit- getting fixed as I type. I just hope it hasnt gotten to the chip
  16. bahahahahahaha, how did i know that a reply by you would say that!
  17. So then it was all good and i had the car running perfectly after i cleaned out the TPS (crap had seeped down into it) and i got bored and did a service light reset. (annoying INSPECTION light was on) i may have f**ked something over- as i used an 'unfused wire' (paperclip) and probably left it on for too long while i wondered why all the green ligts werent on. Now the ICV wont buzz, but it works fine in Wills cars. The relays under trhe plastic box beside the airflow meter are also fine. There is voltage enough to the centre pin on the ICV to light a 12V bulb, other 2 i cant test as i dont have a multimeter (yet) Any ideas what i fried possibly? God I hope its not the ECU! Argh
  18. $478.14 Jerry clayton BMW is what i see in my email, Thats with parts discounted at 25% (i think) and labour full price. BMW use a special tool to remove them, so it is possible that a normal mechanic may take longer, but probably still cheaper
  19. How did you diagnose that it was 3 lifters? i had a ticking noise which i got sick of in my M40 so i had them all replaced by BMW, fixed it perfectly.
