Flushed and replaced power steering fluid and brake fluid. Replaced front rotors with standard spec brembos from Dan (driftit) - legend! Oh and replaced hazard light switch also thanks to Dan.

Keen.

When replacing front brake rotors (with barely used second hand ones), do you need to sand the pad or the rotor or both or none? And what grit paper?

Saw Dylan last night outside the cloak room again. Then Hudson down the road in his new E36 touring. Then a bimmersport stickered e36 out East. And a volvo R with sweet stance.
-
Good news.

Put in a rebuilt alternator from mops. No more not wanting to cold idle, although I don't know if that's because of the alternator or the fact that the battery was disconnected so the ecu got reset. time will tell. Oh and new front brake pads. Did you brake the dtm shifter Ashkan?

This is a really awkward conversation to have over text, but I clipped it in with the 5 or 6 clips at the front and slid the back groove over the corresponding rails that protrude from the metal panel itself. That probably doesn't make sense. Bring your car over sometime I'll show you. I've moved to balmoral road.

If you're talking about the "cables" Im thinking of, I cut them too. There was nowhere for them to clip in my E30. Been fine without them so far. Elec sunroof.

Sorry to hear about your pain dude (but secretly glad I sold my coilovers). I've got some front 6cyl voigtlands available if you want to get the ball rolling. This low:

Thats it, I'm going to pick a part this weekend. I was suprised to read that you are driving it seeing as there is a picture on the book of nathan apparently putting an m50 in it?

Lip made all the difference Sascha.

I could be imagining things, but I think Glenn said something about them being different when he went to mount his diff. Might pay to flick him a message.

Good effort!

My symptoms were cutting out at 3000rpm regardless of warmness of engine. Sometimes it would cut then come straight back on again instantly, other times it would cut and casually coast along for up to 5 seconds before coming back in again. It was definitely the ECU at fault. 3000rpm was a particularly annoying spot too, since 3000rpm = 110kph in my car! I've never been convinced by those injector cleaner / engine flush / doohickameywhatsit magic bottles of sh*t fwiw. Check the earths in your engine bay too. There is an earthing strap that goes from the sump on the passenger side to the chassis rail, one from bonnet to the front of the car, and one off the battery obviously,

I had a cutting out issue similar but not quite the same as yours. It was my ECU for some reason. I put a manual one and bam, never done it again. Based on my research, the fuel and ignition relays are the first thing to replace (under the cover on the left front strut tower. Good luck, its a real pain.

Last you saw it it was, but now its got no back muffler and its longer . Its hilarious. Yea you melt away tyres!

Yep it was the same from inside! There was a another guy on another session taking videos from there who I put some sweet shows on for, I hope he comes on here.

Wow, Hampton VTECd my brakes! I had a spare set of OEM pads in the shed which I put on when I got home (very very scary drive), but one was missing, so I am seeking one front textar E30 pad. Hah. I'm also considering upgrading my rotors - is this a good idea? Recommendations? And rear pads - just go for oem? Funny clip from Hampton for those who missed it:

Cool I had an awesome day. I was easily the least powerful car there. To put it into perspective, the next slowest car after me would have been the VE SS or the new model impreza. Sorry no romantic E30 kill stories either, although I like to think I was quicker than the SS through the corners? Cars of note include a fu raz 2002tii on its first time out - 12:1 CR m10 with twin webers and extractors, Mike Eadys E90 M3, the M3 CSL I see on here a bit, a seriously loud and pro looking red S2000, E34 M5, too many porshces to count, various fast japanese waaamPISH things... etc. Photos to come, but for now:
