Maybe around $300 to get yours pushrodded, leak tested, repaired, new cap, and refilled. Its pretty labour intensive. You have to weigh up weather you go for the full recon and have peace of mind for the next say.. 100,000 ks, or go for the second hand and never be to sure. If the second hand rad is sub $150 its probably worth going for it I guess?

Wow I am very surprised to hear that. They have always had bmws in there whenever I've been in. Not to mention de loreans, jags etc, even race cars. I know id trust them with whatever I had. CABs don't need to be perfect to get a wof anyway.

Mines reasonably smooth (stock suspension except bilsteins in the front), fine for ME... thing that gets me the most is the noise.

I'll keep an eye out mate. Best of luck, there are rather a lot of cars like yours around.

I took a doz to my mechanic when he went out of his way. Auto Care Kilbirnie / wgtn performance vehicles. Noticeably cheaper than page, and I'd like to say equally as knowledgable?

^ yea the seals don't do much. Water comes in through them then is supposed to drain out of any of the 4 drain pipes. The front ones go down the pillars and out behind the front wheels, the rears out in the boot. If you have access to an air compressor stick the nozel in each of the 4 pipes and give it a good blast then check it over to make sure everything is still connected.

Stop doing maths you nerds, No I'm not buying a ticket lotto is ghey!

Mine in 6th form was $40 an hour. He was top notch though, HOD maths etc. I think $40 an hour is the going rate for a quality tutor.

sh*t yea na 1.75 is what I got! So the official capacity is like 1.25 or 1.5! I was thinking relative to a big milk bottle (what I used to get mine), but I got confused as to how big a milk bottle is. Quick trip to the dairy ensued! Seriously thought im still not 100% sure. Check the bentley manual, I haven't mine on me but its definitely in there. Sorry! Exclamation mark!

You get it from your local garage. Rock up with a clean dry bottle and ask for 3.75 litres of dextron II or dextron III. I think maximum capacity is 3.5 litres but its nice to have a bit extra for top up. Its pinky red. You will need to turn the wheel back and forth heaps to get most of it out but you will never get all the old stuff out. I have an old rack in the garage from the start of the year and it still weeps every time i pick it up and fiddle with it.

if it was manual... 4500-5000, auto 4000-4500. My guess

Yes but the second your jet hits the cat its gonna be gone and will hardly get wet!@ You wanna drench that sucker. Trust me I've done it myself
-
Easy. Prowl up on it one night with a bucket of water and dump it all on the cat. You need only do it once - it will NEVER come back. gl

Yes that is a bit of a joke amongst the family. Also... whats the (p) light? It wouldn't go off. sh*t there was something else I was gonna ask but I've forgotten edit... thats right. I forgot to mention there is no oil and water interloving going on (hand firmly grasping wood)! I think what caused the white sh*t on the dippy was dye from the rag (lol tastic you..... muppet.)

I installed a new rocker cover gasket... the old one was pinched by a ground strap which I sandwiched between the head and the gasket rather than between a nut and the cover which is how it should have been. This is where the (/ most of) the oil leak was coming from. It was leaking down the exhaust manifold down the downpipe and dripping off at the elbow. It seemed to run OK after this (definitely a lot better than before) when it took it round the block but im not fully convinced. I'm going to pick my sack up and take it to a garage. Below is a pick of the old gasket where it was pinched, and one of my car. I don't think I've ever put any up. Its seriously dirty but todays a bit sunny and windy for a good groom.
