  1. Im keen on doing the RS4 exhaust on the M62, let me know how you go with this...
  2. So we spent the last 2 hours or so measuring the 'next stage' of fabrication and tomorrow these line will mark where The Cut will take place Roof racks have also just been removed to make The Cut easier
  3. 7pm sounds good. Ill get what I have ready and what ever is left, Allan, youre more then welcome to take :-) ps, when the city turbo is ready, you should bring yours down to meremere, we hoping to get an 11 on the stretch
  4. Keeping a close eye on this...well when the eyes start working properly again.
  5. We'll I can get everything together for you and you come pick up Wednesday evening? Oh the Honda City turbo? That's my little brothers project. His just had it repaired and is rebuilding the engine this weekend with a slightly bigger turbo
  6. haha small world Andrew. Did you get all the pieces you needed? If not, let me know and ill get them together and sent to you. The purple T2 from the Nissan patrol? that our other project. ps, if you need anything else for the touring, let me know, you can have it as ill be taking the rest to the tip sometime this weekend. I still have the following, rear window, rear seats, air compressor for the suspension and a bag of door/boot seals..
  7. Well I've broken my nose, arm, fingers and popped a disk in my spine, arc eyes is the worst out of everything
  8. Yea I actually did the milk, helped a little, but had to eventually go to AnE where they numbed the eyes and stuck this funky gel in and blind folded me for almost 24 hours haha
  9. Note to one self, don't use shitty cheap welding masks, been bed ridden all weekend with arc eye... On a better note, my brother has taken over some fabrication work until I get my site back... And last but not least, Wednesday night a massive chunk of station wagon will be removed..
  10. Sorry for the shitty picture, will get some proper ones tomorrow...
  11. Not much of an update due to the crazy weather we've had lately. I have however cut most of the shapes and sizes of sheet metal and tubing that I need. Hoping yo get some decent hours in over the next 4 days, but I've started cutting the chassis of the wagon to make way for everything ... Just a teaser for now haha
  12. Thanks for this, I'll have a look see at these shortly. But $2 for those would have been a steal at the least. Might see if mcmillans want to donate some to the cause haha
  13. Hahaha the wagon is 1071 at the moment, front seats incl in weight.
  14. Haha yes they are, I've kept all the screws, bolts and nuts (for a rainy day) and that about 8-10kg alone.
  15. All rear Windows (7 pieces in total), all electrics incl bmw battery which was replaced with a small DIN31 or something, spare tyre, air compressor, rear seats, rear door motors, pull out tray with dog cage, have cut some internal pieces of metal out, like all the braces for modules and sensors etc. all audio gear, rear part of the exhaust, boot door has come off too. AND the audio/navigation/TV radio wiring was quite heavy on its own. Some of the sound deadening sticky stuff that is on top of the fuel tank and on the floor Basically the only things left behind the front seats is the floor, roof, battery and some wires. I've taken off the two bar which had been welded directly onto the chassis, but not sure if I want to put that back on or leave it off
  16. Funny enough I do. It's around 850kg so far. Used the scale they have at the tip in onehunga for the difference in weight. Hoping to go another 150kg lighter before adding the new stuff. The new steel had a combined weight of 185kg when the lads at Vulcan steel in botany downs had it up on the scale
  17. Yea took almost 2 hours to remove the rear window and door as the hinges were all rusted, basically had to drill it out and balance the window at the same time.
  18. Ah it's running now, after hours of diagnosing, we noticed that the fuel gauge is out. Shows a quarter tank of gas, but gas tank is empty empty. And on top of that, the tow trailer blew a tyre too haha. Started working on the templates for the rear cabin, so these should be cut out this week and then welded in by next weekend hopefully.
  19. Not much of an update as we had some massive issues with getting the car started and moving it to the workshop. I have however stripped most of the windows and wiring from the rear, hoping to get the physical fabrication done this week..
  20. Hahaha I had the same thing, but it was using the grinder to cut some steel and the shard snapped back into the crotch, not exactly the foreplay I was hoping for
  21. Yea I'll probably land up fabricating some decent ducts tomorrow. On that note, left the fabrication begin... Have to love the trade discount at bunnings
  22. I got this off ebay au. was $380NZD for the kit and $200 shipping, but I had my brother send it from aussie
  23. So this sexy piece arrived this morning, excited much..
  24. That's a really nice car, if this had come up a week ago, I might have been interested. Good luck with the sale tho
  25. Thanks man, check back in on Sunday arvo, will have a few more updates on the build..
