As said, if you're going to do the shocks then you might as well replcae the front control arm bushes with some powerflex or similar brand, makes the steering feel a whole lot more precise and responsive. I'm using koni sports, jamex superlows, and powerflex bushes and I likey

When we did my manual conversion we hooked up the old auto inhibitor to one of my rather redundant switches so that it acted in a similar fashion. Is more to inhibit knobs from using my car than for anything else but I would like to change it from a switch to a big red button.

Guten morgen, wilkomen bei BimmerSport

Take the adhesive wrapper off first, tends to help

Is there any point in doin' a manual conversion??

I wrote an article with pictures attached a long time ago from when Tim and me did mine. It has been shifted to somewhere else, I think the actual site now and not the forum, let your fingers do some clicking. -
Slipping out of gear and not being able to get into 1st or 3rd to me sounds a little more like the gearbox shift linkage console isn't sitting right and is too low, most likely the console is not attached correctly at the end of it so you're not getting enough room to get the lever nto 1st or 3rd, fix this and you'll be right. E: As for oil try and grab some Redline MTL, good synthetic stuff.

Unless the damage was solely caused by some delibertly stupid action then share the cost.

I was in Queensland last week on the M1 and couldn't contain myself when I actually saw a car with the Milo conversion on it, very priceless.
-
Redline MTL, goes in both the g/box and diff, been using that for quite some time now. Diffs take a bottle exactly, g/box depends on size.

Go the froggies, anything but an English win, they'll harp on for 4 years again that they're world champs even though they'd lose more oft than not.

They're naff hanging out the window but two at the front like some diplomatic car (thinking cannonball run) would be okay

Similar topic, but on my walk to the train station the other day, I counted 1 in 5 cars having euro plates sourced from outside NZ, including brand new cars on the toyta dealer site. A big up yours to PP really.

A reusable shopping bag. I wish Tim would post a pic of his, and his old girlfriends 323/familar, that was the worst boot i've ever seen. Uneaten subway, hockey sh*t, empty pet bottles, broken parcel tray, general unidentifiable rubbish, homework...list goes on

@me_e36 - Nice story, works to some extent, I have an amazing tolerance to a lot of garbage myself. @Token - Sounds like you have some temper issues to work out as your mum had her head screwed on and just sent him on his way without anything further but a new story to tell. What you did was way OTT and is technically assault, you're lucky the guy didn't go to the police, you'll be even luckier to keep your job!

Yip, glorious Phoenix victory, feeling sorry for any coworker that ventures close to me today...

Any fire extinguisher place can recharge them. How much for the BMW bracket and extinguisher?

Yes a 325 motor from an E30 like yours would fit, however, you need to read up on what's involved. Use the search function to look up previous posts.

OMG I can't believe it's not butter

You say it's being used for work, can you get work to pay/subsidise the cost? Sounds like you're in a flat? I'd go for the DSL and bang a wireless router on it so you can have multiple computers using it simultaneously be it wired or wireless, then you can share the cost with others in the flat. I've got a spare WLAN router for sale.

I beg to differ, heard of Hauppage, they do remotes for pc's and they're not the only ones - plenty of choices

Do a search on chips in the performance forum and review previous discussions as this has been thrashed out before. I'm a staunch critic, especially after trying a couple, too many variables and people don't get them tuned properly. The only chip upgrades that are feasiable are where you can buy here specific to your NZ car, ones you can get reprogrammed by the seller, or do it yourself with a EPROM burneror and software.Â

Looking at Brent's post that E28 with the M5 rims look very suitable, i'm thinking the Alpina's won't look as good as them.
