  1. IMO I don't think this is a safety issue at all and if the WOF guy is being particularly stringent go somewhere else and cough up another $45 as it'll be cheaper than replacing.
  2. I'd have thought that the standard tiny little park light bulb would be less visible, certainly isn't very bright on my standard setup, angel eyes should be brighter than them
  3. I came across a mint e30 dash board when looking for a e36 foggy clip. Pulled it out the next day, normally an easy task cept the steering wheel lock prevented me taking the steering wheel off and the passenger door wouldn't open - luckily it had manual windows so got it out the windows. It's funny seeing what goes first, tool box, fog lamps, and manual roof winder were the only missing things
  4. I hardly ever use my sound system unless the girl is riding too I prefer the natural sound of my engine working
  5. I'd take a 4.5L V8 in a car designed for it over a poxy turbo in a car that's not designed for it any day thanks

    Epic Work Fail

Was on the news last night, guy's fairly famous now
  7. Easily, you drive one then you drive the other, I know which i'd take and why not compare when some fool said they'd not drive it if they were given it - get realistic, the z8's would be 10x more fun to drive than e30's
  8. Hate to hear what they'd say about driving an E30 then - be like Noah's ark in comparison
  9. That is one seriously cool car, I love the modern retro look, would so love to own it Dam right it's better looking than an e30, would handle 3x better, would pick up chicks 3x better, got 3x more power...you're daft if you don't want it
  10. Just push the snowflake button when you take off then you can avoid the 1st-2nd jump until it's nice and warm.
  11. Please, it would be good if your arguments were sound and not baseless For those who want to cut the DPB, how do you propose the people that are genuinely dependant on this are going to support a family? If they have no money and can't afford anything they're going to get a little desperate don't you think? What if the children are preschoolers, as Mike said, makes it harder than you think - good thing there is some preschool funding but you'd want to take that away too right? Personally I would benefit GREATLY from tax cuts, but I wonder what would happen to the poverty gap and think of other countries where the poverty gaps are massive, where the poor live in terrible slums and the children are forced into labour and worse, when they get sick or injured because of the poverty there's no medical help since it's all privatised. Places like this make for very poor vistas. One thing I hate is politicians selling off national assets and right now National wants to do exactly that.
  12. Thanking you sir, I have located the keys you may have just spoken of and will test your theory soon
  13. I'm not 100% sure what my alarm is as it was installed before I got the car but I was told it's a 4 star mongoose, the type with the annoying immobiliser that triggers after 15 seconds inactivity. The 2 fobs are a 2 button  type. I need to put it into valet mode so that when I remove the battery the alarm won't sound continuously and f**k my neighbours off. Turning ignition off and on 20x doesn't do it, the uniden one in my other car works like that after 6x which is so simple, but this one is a right c**t. Thoughts? Ideas please.

    Check this filth

Nah, not mental, just got addicted to WoW E: Obviously mental, that PC couldn't handle WoW, but that's what does happen to people who get addicted to the world of fantasy

    Google Chrome

I'll stick to Opera, has been consistently better than FF and IE for the last 2 years and does it all
  16. What you still got for sale?
  17. Mine have never worked and I don't know of anyone's E30 tilts working, ever, just recently removed the mechanism from my car and the fluid didn't seem to be anything special.

    My E30 325i

There may be one more place to check for rust as I just fixed mine similar to yours, although not that bad, go higher up past where the cables go through the firewall to where the fusebox bracket is spot welded to the firewall. It's a real PITA to check but I had rust there as well and it's a reall c**t to fix if you don't take the fusebox out which is an even bigger c**t of a mission.
  19. See my auction http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=174300723
  20. How does $10 sound? Can you send me account details.
  21. I'm after the clip that sits on the fog light bracket that holds in the right hand side fog light (later model light), it's the one you push with a screw driver to pop out the light. Managed to mangle mine and am currently using an upsidedown LHS one that I scavenged but really need the RHS one for peace of mind. Please PM me if you have a spare one of these
  22. Did them a couple of weekends ago, piece of piss, just had to get someone to help stick on the strut top nuts while I held them up from under. The FL strut is all good (monroe one), FR shock is naff (still original by the looks). Front is sitting a little lower, very nice, rear shocks are in just rear springs but need a compressor for that. While doing the front struts I noticed the control arm bushes were naff too, tried to sneak them through a WOF but failed, where's the best place for getting some nolathane type bushes anyone?
  23. Should've updated earlier: The 325/328 struts are interchangeable. My 328 has a nice big fat sway bar attached to the control arm.
