Can anyone seriously say they expected to get a good deal? @penry: It's still just a phone! Commenting on the 1st gen that I played with for some time, sure it bundles all your stuff together, but the sound doesn't cut it, it's a bitch to text from, no pxt, average camera, it's not the kind of phone to carry in your pocket out on the town and the cost of data made the internet/mail functionality a permium service and after the coolness of it wore off it really just became a phone. I'll wait to you have a play with the 3G one before listening to your thoughts on it, but after looking at the pricing I won't hold my breath. Haha, and visual voicemail is not available in NZ...

    It's just a bloody phone
  4. My E30 A/C goes strong but hardly gets used, never gets hot enough in welly, gets used more to demist - likewise with the E36 A/C
  5. Just buy one from Jeff Gray, they're NOT expensive
  6. Taken time off, yet still didn't get anytime yesterday to chill out, today however...just played some golf, now to start drinking
  7. Upgrading why? Kind of need to describe what you actually want and why.

Hired the mig welder @ $54 for 1/2 day (I think the argon gas is charged per usage as well) and that consists of everything you need to weld with plus the helmet. 7.5hp air compressor (which wasn't great) was $56 for 1/2 day as well, didn't have a tube so we made one up for $30 from Power Tools in P1 - awesome boys shop that place. Offcut sheet metal was free Primer and sealant were $25 Cutting blades were $10 The hired stuff was from hirepool and they actually dropped it off and picked it up which was all good. All up < $200
  10. Finally got around to fixing my rust problem Was behind the glove box right on the join of the firewall to the wheel arch, water was coming through from the engine bay just below the electrics grommit and pooling on the entire passenger side, was a seriously large amount of water hidden in the carpet foam. Friend was a panel beater for 16 years (is now a sales rep) and owed me for all the work i've done for him so he did the main work, I got the sh*t parts haha. Things I had to get were a mig welder and air compressor (for the tools) from hirepool and a piece of metal which I grabbed an offcut from a panel shop here in P1. For afterwards I grabbed primer and body sealant. Work: Removed dashboard a couple of weeks back as I have a crack free one to install Pulled back as much as of the electrics as I could and tied Sanded back as much as possible and worked out the rusted area Cut a piece of metal to fit the area and banged to fit over the area Traced the metal piece and angle grinded the area Cleaned up all the edges for the welding Mig welded the piece in Cleaned up the welds Sprayed the primer Coated with thick gooey sealant Drank copious amounts of beer Forgot to actually take a starting photo but first one shows the actual rusted piece of the wall
  11. Ouch, you'll be a drooling mess
  12. Can anyone confirm or deny whether the E36 325 and E36 328 share the same front struts? Cheers
  13. I never said the P2 was an MP3 player...The P2, among all the formats that it can play, plays XVid and OGG files so I would say that it is actually a portable media player and given that is plays OGG files i'd actually say quality is a very reasonable option
  14. Can't stand companies that lock you into stuff, hmmm, like itunes for example. I prefer better sound quality so after reading reviews from everywhere possible got the Samsung P2 and using Denon AH-D2001 headphones, f'n cracker set up, and is more than just a music player.
  15. I'm a java developer but I know the Jade language, along with C# and of course SQL. Jade (language not company) has it's advantages for developers since its an object accessed DB so there's quite a lot of flexibility. IRC Jade (the company) is based in Christchurch so one would assume that you would get some decent vendor support.
  16. I'd agree that Christchurch has the WORST red light runners in the country after spending 5 days down there, it's just so prolific. Personally, being a edestrian in the wellington CBD it's those dam f**king cyclists that piss me off the most as they run the red lights and pedestrian crossing without a regard to ppl crossing them. The worst of these are the actual racing types, twice i've almost taken one out because I refused to allow them to pass - I pull my briefcase out ready to swing it and hope that they don't stop so I can wipe one out, I wan't to see blood god dam it, and JC would agree
  17. This is the wrong website forum to be dicsussing broadband, i'd suggest navigating yourself to www.geekzone.co.nz and reading all the broadband topics there. They also have active vodafone and xnet representatives on the website that answer questions. Debating about it here will most likely lead to misinformation. IMO, if you're in Auckland you're going to have to wait till the LLU and ADSL2 are completed before choosing your ISP/telco, if you're elsewhere like Chch (not in a TCL cable area) check out Xnet as they're producing the best adsl service ATM.
  18. @jeddy - Switch to TCL if cable is in your area
  19. @penry - you're talking about selling an item that has a widely known worth and is a very demanded item, what the above comments are in relation to are mainly vehicles that don't have a known worth and aren't in demand given their wide abundance. Not apples and oranges.
  20. O.O should actually be O_O, just like we have or X_X or o_O or O_o or ~_~ or T_T When I list on Trademe i'm listing to get rid of it, I can't be arsed waiting months for someone to pay me more, i'll list it for just under the price I want and i'll get the sale.
  21. Looks considerably better, just trying to find some centre cap screws, looks likely some hardware shop will get 80c richer.
  22. No reserve, gotta go http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=153892419
  23. Does anyone know where I can get some screws for the center caps on a set of Hartge rims, assuming they're universal, otherwise specifically 16"x8" 5x120pcd. If not i'll have to find some vernier calipers and working it out the hard way
  24. Try an escort agency - has it's merits at the end of the night...
