Like Andy, bought OEM Home Premium as after investigating the versions I don't need 75% of what's actually in Vista and like Andy, clean installing was VERY simple, kind of felt like it was a no brainer, especially after years of clean installing 98, 2000, and XP...didn't even have to load my raid driver, yay Notes: Took twice as long to boot and shut down compared to XP, but after analysing ALL the services and disabling half of them my boot and shutdown times are now not that much slower than XP. I have to admit that there are A LOT of unessential services and I have already made a friend happy with his Vista business by tweaking his laptop by disabling his unnecessary services too. Tested Kaspersky and it picked up adware that Defender didn't... So disabled security centre, defender, and firewall and using my Kaspersky security instead, was always going to do this but feel better about it now. I had only one major problem, Steam kept crashing in-game!!! After cursing and swearing then very carefully baselining everything I traced it to my overclocked ram being the problem!!? The exact same settings worked fine in XP but after I reduced the tRas and tRct slightly it fixed the crashing and it's all sweet now although I can't see why this worked in XP but not Vista??? Only beef now is the extremely SLOW network transfer speeds. We're running a gigabit network and I was getting over 400Mbps sustained before, now getting, wait for it...50Mbps...WTF? This issue is resolved in SP1 so just have to wait a few weeks for SP1 release. Actual cause is Vista networks better with other Vista copies than what XP/2000 to XP/2000 did, but they've bollocks up the Vista to XP/2000 copying, you can read about it here All up...it feels just like XP but with a new front end - the Aero is cool but nothing Mac's can't do, games all working ok, programs all working ok, and with SP1 out in March I think it'll all be okay. So for all the nay sayers, I disagree, sure if you don't know how to tweak Vista then it is quite tedious, but for power users it's all good. Just will have to upgrade the X2 to the next batch of Phenom quads and i'll have maxed it all out My scores:

Seen the new Tiger beer ad? Gotta be my pick for best ad in a long time.

The fact that it's a coupe and not a hatchet does it for me Would be mean with a little motorsport kit (in my mind)

Try Autosol and elbow grease

4GB isn't that expensive and hello, RAID0, the bang for your buck is considerably better and you can have some massive drive sizes

Priceless This guy is a complete twat

Dredging up and old thread but SP1 is coming out in March...this thread is over a year old but who's swapped over?

Why, I want NZ VF settings Um, that don't work
-
That's the wireless.vodafone.co.nz site and they don't have the 6300 option I've been told to try the 6230i and 6234 as they're ancestors
-
Bought one, just need the settings to use it on the VF network, the wireless.vodafone.co.nz doesn't have a setting for it.
-
As title, anyone here using the Nokia 6300???

I'm TF2 mad for FPS at the mo, but that Super Mario Galaxy is what the Wii is all about IMO - sell it to me when you've finished it
-
Thanks for dredging up old threads...since you've done it, bought a Wii and that rocks everyones face with 4 player tennis, the remote is the best console device ever and is quite cool at FPS

Just in case you're wondering. It's 50c to send standard NZ post mail and they can refuse to deliver it if it's only got a 45c stamp on it. It's all at the liberty of the mail sorter. They do sell 5c postage stamps to make this up to ensure devilery. So there you go, add that to your useless info pile.

I've got my front sport seats set to be re-clothed at $200 per seat

Those old rockers went late last night, funny about Fergie's trousers
-
I've got these in my E30 and they make the steering feel tight and considerably more responsive, a huge improvement on the oem rubber donuts.

I came in from Aussie a couple of months back and after 3 attempts at landing they sent us to Chch where it was too late for them to process us (intl) so they refueled and and sent us back, couldn't land and then it was too late (curfew of 1am) to land so redirected to akld. All the while other planes had landed, no qudos to our useless pilot. You should look at the footage from planes trying to land at the old Long Bok (or was it Kai Tak) airport, seeing a 747 doing 70-90? degree turns right before landing is spectacular E: And if you didn't know, 747's used to land here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:QANTAS_..._Wellington.jpg
