  1. Hey man, 'twas me that grabbed that fuel tank, thanks for that. Yeah the valance is the one with cutouts rather than being solid, hard to explain but it's not a stock one. I woulda been keen on that steering wheel, so, so keen but no money ATM haha. I'll find out if it's the right auto by the end of the week if that's cool?

    Seems to be going ok, main things that held me up were/are laziness and no motivation as I have other vehicles. I did get some really lucky scores along the way, got the clutch/flywheel/engine mounts/transmission crossmember already modified etc off Jacko when he parted his out (thanks heaps) Scored a golf mk2 booster for 20 bucks out of pickapart too, so that helped. Yeah, twice the horse of the m10 should keep me happy for at least a couple months haha

    Hey guys, a mate of mine has an e28 525e that has blown the auto box. now, will any old 4hp22 fit or is there another consideration I need to know? Or, if someone has a manual conversion for one she might be keen on that. Thanks, Bradd

  11. Hi, Looking for: e30 g260 shifter linkage (can either swap m10b18 manual gearbox shifter for this, or ill cut and shorten the m10) I also have heaps of parts for sale, see my for sale thread EDIT : Found some parts, still need a few more as usual.
  12. Has anyone please got any suggestions for me? One of the subframe bolts on my e30 has snapped clean off, leaving about half an inch of bolt up in the threads. I have soaked it for ~3 days in penetrant spray, then drilled through it, then twisted an extractor off inside it. None of my drill bits will even really scratch the extractor. Im guessing Ill have to tow it to an engineer to do something about it, but dont even really know what kind of engineer to look for, and Ill have to get it all rolling again, no front suspension at all currently. (Cant really weld anything to it, theres not enough room as its recessed inside the threads.) Another option I guess is get a more expensive drill bit in the hopes of just destroying everything, but I dont know if Ill be able to retap it without going up a bolt size, which then needs subframe mods etc. Or, should I just give up and buy another chassis? Any ideas would be a help, thanks...
  13. Hey all, need a g260 driveshaft for an e30, just the front half if possible. Driving to tauranga tonight n back to palmy tomorrow, so if there's any available along the way I'll be keen to pick em up. 02102935608. May also need the shift linkage for said g260 (facelift style linkage) Cheers. I also have basically an entire m10 manual engine setup I need gone if anyone needs anything haha.

Ok, so my m10s radiator is very very rotten, have scored an m42 radiator for rather cheap, but has the 3rd small pipe off the expansion tank, which seems to be some sort of return from the heater core off a t junction. Have tried shoving the m42 radiator in, mounts up all fine etc, but seems to get no flow whatsoever through the radiator so cant even bleed it. Shoving a hose down either end seems to show the radiator isnt blocked, but flow just doesnt happen, and then its fine when the m10 radiator is back in. Any ideas? or just deal with the stupid rotten m10 radiator until engine swap happens? Cheers,
  15. Saw a black e30 outside kfc rangitikei here in palmy, with the obligatory flashing lights that had pulled them up... Also seen kevinators nice e30 outside the Massey halls multiple times..

  19. Hey guys, have heaps of parts ill probably never use sitting in my garage and I need some parts myself, listed at the bottom. Im in Palmerston north, but works takes me over hawkes bay and wellington often. So can pick up / deliver. Have m20b25 ecu, ABS(pump,sensors,cpu), indicator stalks, central locking solenoids + relay, etc etc. Have abs setup etc, 100 bucks for the lot. Has the pump the ecu the whole loom, most of the sensors, hard lines, master cylinder etc Have m10b18 engine, alternator, manifolds, injectors, ecu 250 lot Have m10b18 manual gearbox, flywheel, clutch+pressure plate, bearing, driveshaft 250 lot Also have a good condition e34 525i Auto radiator - $40 have e34 alloy engine mount arms + rubber engine mounts $40 m50b25 starter motor - $45 What I need: mint front drivers side alpine white guard G260 m20 shifter linkage set up

  23. Im guessing that was in relation to a non-certed engine swap that wouldnt have been legal otherwise? If it was a stock to stock engine swap I dont think it would matter at all?
