  1. Holy moley that's a rare size. P.S. Those rims are totally sweet!
  2. If it's an m3 it'll be the deal of the century even if the motor's rooted. I'd throw a v8 in it.

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Badassery. I don't think I'd have the patience to do that.
  4. What is the colour? It's like delphin without the green hue? I'm pretty sure it's the same colour as the one I posted in my build thread, I swear it used to have a brown hue. OP: There was one that was offered for $2,300 with wof and reg - PFL, 320i manual, can't remember if coupe or not. It should come back onto Trademe, I don't think anyone accepted the offer.

    BBS RS'd Jetta

Nah, the vw's lines suit the kinda video it is. Boxy BMW's that suit BBS RS's wouldn't look as pimp. *Dons flamesuit* Heeeeck no. There are many many many other wheels that pwnzorz the RS's even within the BBS family. (actually depends on what #1 consists of, BBS RS's are comparatively weak, crap x factor/brake space, but very pretty. Even my lame as 15x6.5 RS's were pretty haha) *Dons second layer of flamesuit*

    Refurbing Wheels?

I can recommend Brugar Engineering in Takapuna (Barry's Point Rd). Have had wheels done by them. Good workmanship, fast turnover, and pretty good prices

    Laptop experiences

Thanks for the advice guys, I'm totally out of the loop with regards to computing these days (I blame my Arts degree ). Although my laptop has served me well, I don't really like how it has slowly disintegrated over the years. Although, they do represent very good value for money, so I haven't ruled them out as an option. The XPS13 series seems like very good value for money. I have no doubt that IBM's are very good computers, but I didn't like using it when my Dell was down. They also command somewhat of a premium in price like Apple do. Do you mean the Dell studio stuff? It seems awfully pricey for my basic CAD use.. I should specify that the CAD I'm doing is extremely basic. ~30 parts per model. Would I still need $$$ worth of high spec laptop? And XP/Vista runs native on the new Macbooks. I have a huge number of windows open because my Politics degree requires me to trawl databases, and some are restricted (no saving, etc) so it's easier to leave the window open when doing comparative study. The laptop tends to struggle when the windows start containing media (TV election coverage, etc). But I'm nearly finished my BA so the main use will be for Engineering after this year.

    Laptop experiences

I've been doing a bit of research as my 3yo Dell is disintegrating thanks to the shithaus parts they use. (mouse button broken, coupla keys faulty, battery gone, etc) For the first time ever I'm considering a Macbook (mainly cos they can run windows - word etc for uni), have handled the new aluminium 2.4Ghz one and I was very impressed by the build quality. Felt like I could drop kick it and it'd be fine. I'm going to be using mine for: -Uni work - which will include a Pro E starting next semester (was told mine won't run it) -Lots of interwebs -Word/spreadsheet processing -Want to learn how to video edit and photoshopz (want to get back into photography, can't afford film, so have to learn digital) -WiFi draft-n needed -Bluetooth -card reader What I need: -Least chassis flex....this is a pet hate -Fast enough not to have a spaz when I'v got 20+ windows open (yes I use this many during research/trawling cos some of the databases) -Nice touchpad -hi-def screen -DVI out -Doesn't burn me/keep my cocoa warm if place in proximity (I kid you not, placing my drink next to the exhaust on current Dell keeps it warm) -battery life needs to cover 2-3hours intensive use. WiFi + Bluetooth + interwebs/Pro E -13"-15" nice enough to work on for prolonged periods and not a PITA to transport Macbook Aluminium does all that, but it costs a couple of hundred bucks more than the equivalent dell 2.4Ghz - $2699.. (using money I saved for my daily to buy, might have to sell my neglected PS3 to make me feel better) I have trouble using Lenovo's - the ergonomics really doesn't suit me. I hate their mouse buttons. Haven't tried asus but they're expensive from what I gather. My conscience is a force to be reckoned with and the recyclability and non-toxic nature of Macbook attracts me. But again, one can get a lot more computing for less also quite like the illuminated keyboard for lectures. But no card reader, and they're so wanky looking Has anyone any experience/recommendations with laptops they'd like to share?
  9. I'm a member...probably more for MSNZ licence than anything though. They do have some younger members, and yes they do accept modified BMWs. You also get some discounts, etc.
  10. Hood scoop? More like Pimp scoop. New transtunnel to mount the motor under the dash. Mean. Anyone else think the camaro doesn't look like it has 1000hp?

Yeah, only juussst fit. inner wheel weights graze the caliper slighly lol. May have to resort to outer weights. 10pts to you ex-JDM whore Yeah, IIRC they do come in 4x100 but in Honda offset edit: upgrade to an M3 race car dan Clicky

    JiB's POS

No, no e-points for you. Yeah, is a bit ridiculous/scary weight-wise. Can't wait to drive 'em
  14. +1 Now who's gonna step up and put a F20c into a 2002? (2002 turbo for even more sacrilege points) P.S. I'd probably rather they put a kenne bell ford v8 into that camaro than a 6cyl to annoy people

Teaser pix: Finally found some 15x7 that fit 300mm/4pot brakes They're forged and weigh 4kg.....and I now own 2 out of my top three favourite wheels. They need a clean before I post some pics. 10 e-points to whoever can guess what they are

    323i E30 Radiator

Yup, sure. Lemme dig it out of storage for ya.

    e30 4x100 bbs

I think he means a 5x114.3 hub swap instead of the tradition 5x120. I don't think there are any compatible 5x114.3 hubs for BMW's? Unless someone's found some freak Nissan/Toyota/Mazda/Honda that might work.
  19. Nathan, you're keeeen. I'm sticking to four wheels.
  20. When people have to remind you that wheels are meant to fit inside the guards

    E30 Bits for sale

    Suede Retriming

Holy crap that's Awesome! Alcantra accents are the best thing evar. And if you had strong enough glue you could do the rim of your steering wheel like the suede techII's
  23. Can someone (who has solid information) confirm if it's true that E30 M42 intake manifold and ancillaries are needed for this motor to be put into an E30? I was under the impression E36 bits could be used for an E30 transplant - at least for a M40 powered E30. 'Cos I found this
  24. When they arrive, could you by any chance post up the back of the wheel? I'm curious as to whether they'd clear my brakes without spacers. (probably not, but worth a shot )

    Top 5 cars

Almost identical 1 & 2 dan. You sir have good taste Lol, you hate them cos they're made for crap drivers like me. I test drove a Evo9 MR wagon couple of years ago when dad placed a deposit on one. It was great, made me feel like Ayrton Senna. P.S. A lot of you haven't explained why, and Simon, that's cheating. Just out of interest, why the Evo8 and not the 9? I couldn't tell the difference apart except the 9 had more exciting amounts of go.
