  1. Those Schnitzels have gone up in price! Was considering them for mum's E46 when they were $600 and even then I thought they were still too pricey for 16"s.
  2. Chassis rails were pinchable in one or two spots. That rusty.
  3. Quick search on tardme for cheap wheels reveals: Option 1 Option 2 Option 3 Holy sh*t I'm glad I'm not 5 stud sometimes. Too many wheels to buy.
  4. H&R had some cheap springs on Bimmersport not too long ago. They're definitely what I'd go for.
  5. Everything about this thing ticks all the boxes for me! Clicky! P.S. Check out Will Roegge's stuff, awesome cinematography!

    M325i vs SR20DET.

I <3 tech1. Please dooooon't change tech1, evar. Btw, instead of shelling out for wilwoods, adaptors and brembo's from an evo/sti/gtr might be much better value for money. (I went even cheaper with nissan ones). Mine's basically a twin! ....except without the daily driver part...well, almost. /subscribed!
  7. Awesome, make sure you share the results of tuning! Are you still gonna go 5 stud/solid mount rear? I'm assuming the BC's are for E30? Or E36? I think mine are 475lb. Imho, 450lb front is quite stiff for a road car and might not be so good with low profile street compound rubber and big wheels. Swapping the springs for softer items shouldn't be hard or expensive as long as the ID needed are readily available. Was $180+gst (?) for the my front pair if I remember correctly? With 475 front and 650 rear traction is sometimes an issue with Toyo Proxes4 on 16's if the road surface is moist or isn't the best. My spring rates and setup only really work well when on softer r888's. But at least your springs are all 2x longer than mine so you'll have decent travel...unlike my 3 wheeling shitbox Then again, your car has more weight in it and if you plan on running the car really low (would look pimp with those wheels) then I guess those spring rates would be better suited for keeping the bits off the ground?
  8. I may have a change of plans in the next couple of weeks (trying to find wheels that fit over my brakes), but I need to know if I'm able to sell my adaptors. They're 20mm, will change E30 stud pattern to 4x114.3. Will include hubcentric rings and even the short studs. I paid about $500 including new studs, nuts, etc Will want $350. Options include: +$450 the 15x7 enkei's I'm selling inc GT radials +$650 the staggered SE37K's inc toyos All prices are firm, offers are not welcome sorry.

    E30 323 Clutch Kit

If it helps, I'm using all the manual bits from a 323i on my PFL 325i. Doesn't seem to have any differences apart from flywheel and g/box sensors.
  15. Yeah saw that, very interested to see which BMW came with 4 pots? Only the new ones that I know of ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$)?
  16. That $30k E30M3 and a nice batch/small house will do. Otherwise E92 M3 sedan with change for maintenance/insurance for the multi-purpose-car-ness. ....Am I too practical? Supercharged Ariel Atom with the K20A. I really do think that B7 is an obscene waste of money...
  17. I think that's a pretty good idea? But may inconvenience some.
  18. Is that really worth $7,000? :/ I'm interested to see these "BMW Racing brakes"
  19. Yeah, that's the idea. Remember that bushes absorb a lot of vibration stress - when solid mounting that will transfer straight to the attachments.
  20. I was told you would also have to solid mount and reinforce the diff. Lots of $$$ involved if you don't want failures.

  22. I think I went the other way. I sold a much nicer/faster car to build my slow little e30 that I enjoy more. Sometimes it's not really about speed or cool/nice factor. I only speak for myself, but I chose to spend money on a 20yo german tinbox cos it gives me massive amounts of enjoyment. Of course I do look at other cars that I could have gotten, then realised I'd just end up spending more on top of the purchase price because I'd eventually find things I'm unhappy with
  23. Just on a related heads up: I received this when selling stuff on another forum, I was suspicious with the language used and some googling revealed that this is a scam. http://forums.stangnet.com/593555-fraud-ra...-griffiths.html Apparently it's making the rounds in NZ forums now, so be weary when selling bits.
  24. I stand corrected! Have always thought LM's were 3 piece... So what in the world were those LM's made for? 5x120 (assuming) but in 50+ offset? edit: Would be amusing if the e30 was actually a standard 4 stud, but with 4x100 to 5x114.3/100 adaptors I have seen Subaru's and Altezza's with LM's
