  1. My getrag used to be very stubborn 3rd -> 2nd and double clutch heel toe (not as impressive as it sounds) really helped @ taupo. So i think double clutching still has use with synchro boxes? Also I find left foot braking with bmw's really hard b/c of the offset pedals. My clutch pedal is where a brake pedal usually is! Maybe it's my stubby legs? ps can we have a thread dedicated to braking plz?

    Convert it?

What bravo said - but beware that the conversion kit you buy is for your car and includes ALL the bits. I would personally just buy a manual car after having spent over twice my original budget getting my car working right.
  3. Hi Ray, Would you swap a facelift front bumper and valence in 318is red (whatever it's called - brillianrot?) for a good condition E36 steering rack? Cheers.
  4. I love how sleeper it is! Would sound the business too I'd bet.
  5. Manual/Auto? Could you include details here for those of us who can not access Trademe?

    6er

Only if the barrel is angled. ie - mega low offset. The high offset flat barrels look a bit naff when there's not enough centre imho.

    E30 325i badge

Anyone need one? Mine has fallen off cos the gum stuff that stuck it on failed. The badge itself is in very good condition. I just cbf putting it back on. Thought I'd ask before I binned it.
  8. I planned to do that when I wanted to go FL. You need to cut slits out of the inner bit so it will bend and fit the narrower FL valence properly and you can wire tie it in place BEHIND the valence so it looks tidy. Looks pimp when done right, those pictures are quite a bad example :S

    Will these fit?

Lol, i'm the one selling these dude, Have a look in my build thread for pics on the car
  10. When I worked at Super Cheap auto, 300ml Penrite Sin (RBF600) was $15 ordered in. So there's another cheap option
  11. It almost makes me want to get another Honda just to see the reaction. You gonna mod the Suby or nah?
  12. +1 And I consider myself part of the "younger" community, and I do not condone nor approve of cutties either. I do however have a soft spot for being able to lay frame - the proper way I thought the BimmerSport population established that the reason you spun out was 'cos you fxcked your suspension geometry by lowering your car on possibly the wrong sized tyre without any thought to how it might affect camber/toe/castor/etc Which is why somethings should stay illegal or require LVV Certification. /grumpy. Mods feel free to remove if this is non-PC.
  13. Didn't want to start a fuss, but Apex is right. IIRC: '89's were technically only GT's, auto and less 50hp from the TT's. RS's (including Type R's and Type RA versions) in '90 were single turbo with 220hp. They were pitiable and even my standard Honda ate them for lunch (ok, perhaps an unfair comparison, but they were slow). The TT ('93~) that HUFF3R has is 250hp factory and feel a damn sight faster than the singles. Perhaps you drove a TT converted to big single (fairly complicated and expensive process). These are modified and can't really be compared to garden variety RS's
  14. So this would be from M50 -> W57? Any idea on price?

    E30 325is

Swap for a racecar? (in all seriousness) If not then, good luck with the sale!
  16. I think you have to drill the bottom lip. haven't gotten to this bit yet
  17. Should fit well? Is your kit original? Mine is OEM, and it's very flexible plastic
  18. Mum has her eyes set on a car, so this is now seriously for sale. 1998 BMW 328i 4door Light silver colour Full leather interior Memory seats Auto dimmer rear mirror Rain sensing wipers Climate Control Cabin sensors Motorsport bodykit Cruise control Factory Harman Kardon 10speaker stereo Boot cd stacker 5 speed steptronic As new 225/50/16 RE001 Bridgestone adrenalins $1000+ As far as I know full nz service history Price is $10,000. (Cheap as chips, I'd buy it if I could afford it!) Only pic I have of it atm. Thanks.
  19. I did Kemp Rd with 100 ground to sump clearance. You probably don't need a sump guard unless you have one handy, or if you plan on doing sweet jumps. Looks choice dude. What's under the hood of the caterham?
  20. It's fairly evident once you start taking trim off Some standard trim bits don't fit tech1 though.
  21. I wouldn't pay $6 (or whatever price lotto is) for that car. Ticks all the wrong boxes for me, no good proportions throughout.
