  1. i've got to do suspension on the yellow car soon... does the M3 come with bilsteins standard? reason for asking is i want to get em re-valved if possible..
  2. i was at work today, and dropped the car off at the garage around the corner to get the sytem flushed with dot 5.1. im assuming they have got it right.
  3. hi guys, about 2 weeks ago, i changed my discs and pads, when this was done i did not bleed the system, just pushed the pedal back. as i was took the car for a test drive i noticed the pedal was really spongy on the first press of the brakes. ( the 2nd press requires less brake pedal travel) at the time i thought it was just the new discs and pads, so they need to bed in... well today the problem was still going on, so i figured somehow i should bleed the system, so i put in dot5.1 fluid... but the pedal is still spongy.... any advice, much appreciated.

    my mk2 jetta

ITBs were not that hard to tune, as i have a wideband lambda sensor. hardest part is going easy on the throttle, as 40% throttle is around 100kPa..., there after any increase in throttle is less restriction to the airflow, so a much better ram effect... there is still alot of tuning to be done, it still running the stock spark map, i reckon theres at least another 4 Deg of advance to be gained... but the car is for sale, so all that is on hold.... lol

    my mk2 jetta

its 1991 VW jetta Exec, with way too many mods to list.... 9a 16V from a 1994 Passat. Megasquirt and ITBS off a GSXR 750. car made 90kW at Torque performance but was running lean and the run was stopped half way through, shortly after i added the megasquirt and ITBs. has not been dynoed since... heres some pics. http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs233.snc3/22066_243779697135_659902135_3792851_661844_n.jpg[/img]
  7. brake cleaner and a ear bud
  8. cleaned the ISV today, and what a difference. the car idles so much better now, and the startup isn't so hesistant. next step is the VANOS ( have put it off for a year now, just doing research and reading different guides) I highly recommend ppl to do it, if you know it has not been cleaned... cheers
  9. well Gavin, opened the shop for me on a public holiday, service does not get any better than that! thanks for the great price on the brake setup Gavin. after 3 hours its all in, and currently breaking them in. any idea how long they needed to be broken in for? cheers tks once again for the wicked service and pricing...

    E36 Rat Style

rat style is hard to pull off unless its the whole package.... so go all the way mate.. cheers
  12. tried making a 1280x800 but its makes it at 1199x800.... is there something im missing?
  13. RS2 is pretty good and just as good as 1 of these.... the 20V quattro is better, and the ultimate is the short sport quattro.... check it out...
  14. hi guys, just wondering if anyone has owned both, and would like to voice there opinion? or if someone has the E36 M3 EVO, whats it like? i've read a bit on the net, and things which pop up over and over again, are the troublesome double vanos, and the EVOs hardly ever hit there stated 321BHP mark... cheers
  15. if you can afford it, go Milltek.... i would love a set....
  16. why not just get the M3 exhaust? will that bolt in?
  17. have you tried the B5 RS4? or the E39 M5? much better IMO
  18. each to there own i guess. personally i would not do someting to a car that i could buy from the factory, but that is an ideal situation. With time ppls opinions and wants change, and if you can afford it, why not? good on ya for going manual, its way more fun just dont go putting a S30 in it.... cos then all hell will break loose
  19. completely missed this. wicked car arab.... looks really tidy for an old car. you are correct with the go kart feeling. i have a mk2 vw, and it feels so much more fun to drive than the M3... cheers
  20. hi guys. i have an 1993 e36 m3 s50b30. the car made 168.1kw which is a 20% loss throught the drivetrain from the factory 210kw rating. what have other e36 m3 owners had? does the figues sound right?, im guessing its pretty good for a 16yr old car...AFR wasn't too bad, around the 12parts air to 1 part fuel. cheers Nigel
  21. dont bother Nick, just buy an M3, they are getting cheap enough....
  22. bugger, was hoping somebody would of done this already.
