  1. - Race licence?- Helmet / race suit / gloves / boots - Series Entry / BMW Club Membership
  2. Unfortunately, yes it is the Strat again, the user name is nearly identical to the one he was using for the LHD M5. Also spouting the same shite about it's over 20 years old so can be registered for the road (even though it is a LHD vehicle), and it was "road exempt registered" whatever that is supposed to mean! So forget any idea about getting it for a good price, will disappear, or mysterious buyer will drop out at the last minute. Not too sure what it would be worth in all honesty, can't run in the E30 series as it's LHD, looks to be a fairly standard 320 and had no log book, so would need some $$$s for paperwork to be completed.
  3. Saw the auction on TradeMe today just before it closed, only just had chance to ask if you ever had the engine dyno-ed at all? Sorry, just saw your response on the auction. What was the figure on the dyno, and what work was done in the overhaul?
  4. Can't see what image you have posted, comes up with an error. I was thinking of the 4 spoke Revolutions from the Mk1 / MkII Escort, like this.. The ones on this 2002 look waaay cooler though!
  5. Some people have nothing better to do all day than scope TradeMe and bimmersport!
  6. Any photos of the damage to the sub-frame and body work? How much for whole car with parts to fix damage?
  7. I would say tidy rather than mint, looking closely at the interior pics there is quite a bit of wear on the front seats where the leather hasn't been looked after and at least one large crack through the top of the dash. For that kind of money I would be expecting the interior to be better condition than that personally.
  8. There is a "default" level of compliance that is given to each vehicle, which basically says that unless stated otherwise all components on the vehicle meet a base standard, there is a technical term for this but it escapes me at the moment. This vehicle compliance code will be stamped on the plate on the front strut which has the VIN number on it, probably stamped underneath. However, it is possible that the vehicle compliance code may not state that it meets Euro 3, it may be a lower specification as the default. In which case you would need to get hold of the vehicle certificate of compliance which has a whole lot more detail on it, and will state specifically the Euro emissions level.
  9. Nice snail Foxy! Gonna be up and running for this week-end ?
  10. Can't quite see fanga Dan in a suit and taking the corporate coin though, Mad Mike on the other hand.... ??Let's see how many politicians and big wigs want to visit NZ then!!
  11. Almost as much damage there as in a BMW Open Class race Foxy ! Reminds me why I don't want to try hill-climb or rally events - one mistake and you're in the scenery, no run off areas, no sand traps, straight into trees - ouch! Some very nice, and very serious cars in those clips especially for the Beemers, the Warsteiner E30 M3 & Jagermeister E30 M3 , shame to see the E21 looking so munted.
  12. My thoughts exactly... If they had gone for the Grange I know of at least one NZ factory that would have picked up quite a bit of extra work.. would give the VIPs a few memories if the right drivers were chosen as well (does Murph still need a day-time job??)
  13. ^^ Interesting how many country's governments use cars that are manufactured in their own country, Germany, Uk, Japan, Russia, USA, etc. Whilst NZ doesn't have it's own car industry anymore there are many jobs here that are directly linked to the manufacturers in Aussie, shame this deal didn't support those jobs.
  14. Or Ray at HellBM, he got a batch in a while back.
  15. Happy Birthday you baby-faced charmer!
  16. Looking for the electronic box of tricks to connect an E46 up to a trailer, has to be for a facelift car though. I know there is a BMW one and possibly some after market versions. Anyone got one that they don't need? I have the towbar just need to box of tricks to make the electrickery work.
  17. Late 80's icons for me... E30 M3 (would still kill for one...) Sierra RS Cosworth (can't get past the plastic interior now) Ford Escort RS Turbo Custom, only came in white, can't believe I ever liked them now! Came as close as owning a Mk3 Escort - but not a turbo unfortunately. Peugeot 205 1.9GTi - first thing I bought when I graduated from uni.. great fun but interior tended to rattle and fall apart on you regularly.
  18. Don't tell them it's a race car or been modified?? 3rd party fire and theft only?
  19. ^^This. Apparently this white car is "mint" so maybe worth a few extra $$$s, but there are other E30 M3s from $28k upwards which have been for sale for a long time and not moved.
  20. Well spotted that man, and well spotted that it has re-listed, under a different seller. When I saw the photos and the seller, I put two and two together and believed it to be the same car, but on closer inspection it is not. This one is a US spec, with the side marker lights / reflectors in the bumper strip. I might have to have a nosey....
  21. I'll have a look in the garage, I might have just have one for you Michael, if I find it I'll bring it up to Hampton with me on Friday.
  22. Which car had the M88 motor in it? It's not from the Alpina is it, I can't see a snail or plumbing?
  23. It's a pretty common converter lead, I've seen them in Repco and also in the local 4x4 / diesel / autosparky specialists in town. Shouldn't be too expensive either.
