if your with national auto club insurance, you value the car and you pay accordingly to that value. so if its a write off thats the amount you get. ild say an amount you would be happy to sell the car for i guess. (without getting ridiculous)

this car has a 240 , i know i fitted it myself. has the solid alloy mount aswel ,not the crappy metal base ones that always come loose. body was originally a 320i 1987. had a blown head so i fitted in the good 323i motor and the 240 gearbox.

yeah that plug you showed doesnt connect to anything, its purly there for the diagnostic tool, only the facelift engine has the front crank sensor, all motronic engines have the distributor like yours but theres still prefacelift and facelift varients. If your earthing is not 100% all sorts will go wrong aswel so make sure it earthed well. Are the brown wires under the diagnostic plug earthed? also mite want to check your fuel regulator if its not starting at all now.

pretty sure its a zender aswel. but has no fogs and a bigger splitter opening on it. was after 1500$ keeping the eyelids, grill and headlights for myself.

yeah thats the one. hopefully that sorts your prob once you replace it, Theres a way to test them i just cant remember what the reading is ment to be tho. normally the just stop working tho, not likly to be an adjustment issue

Prob just need to get a new one, i dont think i have any but ray is bound to have a few seems to be a pretty common fault during an engine swap for some reason

Have you tried the following.. crank angle sensor? airflow meter? ecu? if the dizzy and cap are new ,a micro millimeter difference from the torn nut wont effect it enough to have it misfire i doubt.

Manual steering rack Manual 240 gearbox newer type. with solid shifter mount. 5 speed. 323i engine rebuilt. runs mint. lowering springs front kit, not sure of make. discs all round Reged. german number plates bad points. no master clutch cylinder. no wof unfinished doors unfinished paint. (no rust) Not everyones taste.. comes with standard headlights and front grills. (not black type and no eyelids) just offers .. may part it out but would rather someone took the lot. Its the "project skumbag" car. minus the lights and grills. need to finish my m50 e30 first ive decided so cant be bothered with this one.

dont 525e gearboxes normally have a speedo sensor in the box aswel rather than in the diff?

e30 has the correct starter motor, but wrong solenoid, the e30 is only the 2 main 13mm terminals, + 1, 10mm terminal. e34 has an extra 8mm one. tried to swap the solenoids but there slightly diff sizes. sorted a starter motor already hopefully fingers crossed, and will also show images of the conversion for anyone thats interested to see whats involved, nowhere as easy as the e30s, similar, but harder.

I was told it was from a 525i m50 the complete conversion kit, flywheel looks very simlar to e30 325i now that you mention it ill try that now and see what kind of luck i get .

Have started the manual conversion in the e34 wagon , whole job has been nothing but problem after problem.. most are sorted just have a few left. 1,First issue was driveshaft was a small 6 bolt to drive shaft. car only had a 4 bolt in it, sorted it by using an e32 diff, swapping the axel hubs, and using the e32 rear half of the drive shaft with the front half of the e34s shaft. 2,next issue was a cross threaded and cut clutch line, Got a new fitting put on clutch line and flared for 5 bucks, the master cylinders thread was eaten alive so had to replace it.. No 1 stocks e34 master cylinders and they retailed at a ridiculous 240$+gst!!. . so i used an e30 one instead and changed the arms over as there diff lenghts. thats the sorted stuff, now im trying to work out how to elimitante the "Trans Prog" Error . nothing from the net seems to work, and most guides are for big 6s not m50. Also . starter motor doesnt catch the flywheel . it was working fine on the auto , is there a difference between an auto and manual starter motor? Cars been wired up so it thinks its in park so it starts. But the starter motor just spins and doesnt turn over flywheel. Has anyone done this conversion before on an e34 m50 ?

20" rims hamann hm2 style . 5x120 set of four, Offset is 45 so will fit 5 stud 3 series bmw's may fit others aswel. also fit holdens. No cracks, no dents , very minor curb marks only, Most damage to paint is from being in storage. Will look mint with a re paint. Normally they get sold with engines, so there only taken off and sold seperatly when the engine is stuffed. Not exactly cheap at wreckers tho. Ray can prob do you the best deal. i have one but want 100$ for sump and sensor. have a boot lid, no spoiler holes no dent no rust . red. 85$ also one in blue , two small dents no rust no holes 65$ Under steering cover. 20$ (not plastic type tho) Think i have a dark blue guard with no rust or dents aswel 50$

Have a 323i head. had noisy rockers and high kmw but was running fine. it was a 1987 pre face lift. Pme me if your interested and make an offer if you like. Im not sure what the number on the head is but will check. will sus the head complete with cam and rockers but they should be replaced or atleast checked. Dont mind having to post it either. but is in auckland at this stage

have put side skirts on my e34 but looking for a front lip to match . prefer just the front lip only not a complete bumper. dont really know the name of them , assuming motorsport or mtech? something like adams one in this image, or anything similar etc. got anything hidden away ray?

wanted m50 e34 manual conversion kit.. need the lot. box, pedal kit, flywheel pressure plate clutch driveshaft etc etc will pay 2000$ for complete car with good box , rest of cars condition does not matter. or 1500$ just for a kit.
