yea but the UK ones are normally full of rust and bad welded up rust repairs . just check the underside of the UK ones compared to a NZ one.

yes gearbox will rattle with a light weight flywheel , comon issue , just push the clutch in while at the lights as not to draw attention my 544it does with its lighter ali flywheel . my 328i does with a light steel one etc do wonder wether a oil additive might quieten it down a bit ?? some thing like morys etc ??

what he said . uk import , rust m20 too under powered for a e34 unless its a manual . m50 525i not too bad , very rare in a manual. 535is 5spd is a good car , but older style engine , good torque , not so good on fuel and power for engine size 530i V8 auto's not too bad to drive , more modern engine , not bad on fuel , not as much torque as a 535i m30 but nice singing v8 sound 5spd zf trans etc . 540i nice just costs in the gas , make sure the trans is good.

na the red car had nothing in the front just straight pipe , into factory 750i centre muffler then the cheap rear s/s beer can . had more volume , cackle /back fire on overun etc sounded more like a nascar

yea but the e34 has so much more mechanical grip to start with than a tail happy e30 etc my e34 544i is the same , have to work it to get the tyres to spin , where as the e28 will do sideways at the drop of a hat

got the exhaust done on the 544iT/6 the other day used a e34 m5 mid section muffler , couple of bullets up front and one of those S/S beer cans at the back so about 2.5" twin pipe all the way through now. sounds quite nice , not quite as loud as the last red 544i sedan i had seams to have released a bit more power
