BM WORLD replied to 330itis's topic in General Discussion
bonnet struts have e46 printed on them -
i have boxes of vhs tapes with most episodes going back to 1991 mostly recorded from bbc in the middle of the night and some from old horizon chanel before it became prime tv etc prime though sky sat signal or sky on free view is not HD 720p but because the orignal recording is done in HD it comes out a lot better quality than the older top gear stuff before HD camera's where used etc

oh and air flow meters fail and turbo's and all the central lockings systems.

m43 singlecam m44 twincam . have not seen a z3 in nz with m43 engine . most are m44 1.9L twincam. looks like this like glen said get it scanned first , doesn't take long and can save alot of time and money , unless the guy knows what he is doing , but then he wouldn't be asking here. thermo sensor is a 4poll type , 2 pins for the temp gauge and 2 pins for the ecu (so it knows what type the engine is and adjust the fuel corretly)
-
sorry should say 250km/h wheel speed 200km/h road speed
-
all i can say is "wheel spin and smoke at 200km/h down the back straight" look forward to seeing it go
-
check engine temp sensor and wiring to it . also afm (maf ) these often fail also check wiring around it , as it may have been damaged when it got smashed in the front . these 2 things will affect the fuel richness the most

yes pretty much the same as a golf gti etc . all the trans fail on them , window regs , mirrors , abs units , trans ecu , throttle bodies ,ign units , coils ,ac pumps etc etc but you might be ok for a little while , but beaware
