  1. they have pulled the cable plug thingy out of the cable holder gromet.
  2. yes good for turbo race car plenty of room for turbo manifold and headers etc
  3. yes some are like that. there is a return line going to the left side fuel sender unit
  4. most likly a rattly old m40 , and sounds like it has a trans fault . maybe just low on fluid . but for that price or lower ($500) worth grabbing . and throwing a few good parts into it
  5. have you chevked the shaft where it goes into the steering box is that turning as well , might be broken universal in the steering colum

  10. yes very slow selling bits from a 735i , 740i or 750i are better
  11. e34 use a steering box not a rack . unless its a 4wd model . maybe the steering lock is on (ign key related)
  12. also the switches fail . get all gummed up and burned etc inside.
  13. i have same problem with my e34 535i alpina b10 with 255/40-17" on 10" alloy all chewed out on the inside edge . manage to pick up the last one in the country to replace it today.
  14. and about half the weight when you add up all the drag links, edler arms steering arm etc . compare to a rack with just tierods
  15. ring automovements , hamilton to ak about $180 .\ then drive back when its finished
  16. some late model e36 have factory floor lights i just pulled apart a 97 nz new 328i motorsport and it hade them
  17. what he said above , just do it . 2.5l or 2l and then sell it and buy a 525i or 535i etc
  18. you need the lot . engine and trans with all the loom from both those . all the ecu's , drivehshaft , diff and subframe etc , exhaust . if you can pick up a 535ia thats has body damage or rust then its worth it other wise you will get stuck with something that doesn't work and having to keep buying bits etc but i guess thats good for our business
  19. check the tightness of all the front cover bolts that cover the camchain .or replace the gasgets and add some sealant . also the front crank seal weep
  20. are you sure that bmw rack you brought is from a e39 ??? looks like a e36 or e46 one

    your can use the 5spd box from a the e34 530i and e32 730i v8 also from e38 730i 735i v8 e39 535i v8 etc a few on ebay.de for about 300euro's . but most wont ship outside euroland. just buy a new clutch and proformance flywheel from the states . plenty of options there.

  23. i fitted a e36 328i one to my e34 535i , works well , but the z3 is shorter again if you like that sort of thing
