maybe you have the factory amp in the boot or under the dash . some times they only need a single wire per speaker chanel to make them work . also check your polarity (neg and positive ) to the speaker terminals . also some factory systems run the speakers to ground , that would make it short out etc
-
have seen a few seats with worn brushes in the motors , some times you can adjust them out a bit to get them working again ( have done a few like that) , also have seen a few z3's with water damage (corrosion in the motors and switches etc ) from top been left down in heavy rain etc . you can test the motors by unplugging them and hooking up a 12volt battery to the terminals to see if they work switches also just fail (due to over use and arching), easy job to swap over
-
thats great news . did you manage to sort the clutch slip ??
-
yes thats right a/c compressor
-
just swap the ac pump over for another . the clutch packs on them pack up short out etc . easy job to swap over then regas. also check if the front aux fan is running when the ac is turned on , common fail is the fan resistor mounted in front of the fan.

yes 328i is the way to go . $6k to 8 for good auto's $8k to 10K for good manuals.

yes if your pedal feels funny , then get the gearbox off . most likly std solid flywheel . also the pivet point for the clutch fork wear out ,and cause the cluctch fork to go crocked , also i have had one of the 3 metal tension springs break on the clutch cover . sort it quick before you stuff a gearbox/engine bearing or seal etc
-
maybe if you have the dual mass flywheel it has a stuffed centre bush, or maybe a one of the clutch finger springs has broken .
-
a pic so people know

thats a good gain . 119kw to 143kw . had my e36 325i there a little while ago got 111kw . have seen other dyno results with 328i around 105 to 110kw etc I am looking forwarded to getting the e36 328i in soon , with its new headers etc

looks like crossmemeber is just for e24 and e28 models . click on the part number and it shows what other models it suits http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E28/Seda...box_suspension/ driveshafts are only shown as a complete unit . http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E28/Seda...t_swivel_joint/

most alarms are hooked into the ignition wiring loom just down a bit from teh ignition key and switch etc . they normally break into the main power feeds to the coil and starter motor , so by reconecting them , cutting the alarm siren , away you go . but if its a factory alarm i would be a bit more carefull
-
spent afew hours today pulling this kit out . got to remove all the seats , most of the carpet . boot linners , parcel tray , all of the under dash panels etc , centre console . all to get out the tv/radio/tape cd amp , radio tuner , tv tuner system out . a guy is going to pay a bmw dealer to fit to his 750i . i reckon a 2 day job to do it tidy

might go to the diagnostic plug .
