hi thanks . yes have some side skirts and a motorsport rear bumper to go on whe it goes in for some paint . i do have another 5spd kit for sale as well. what would you offer for the vaders ??? also have black leather sport seats
-
if you have a vanos M50 might not be too hard , maybe able to use your loom ecu (reprogrammed etc) to suit . but if you have a non vanos might not quite a few bits . will pm you
-
vanos has a buldge in the front edge of the rocker cover . non vanos does not . i have some good vanos M50 2.5L engines ,if needed if its not i can supply with ecu etc to run it
-
is it a vanos or non vanos m50 engine ?
-
so got it back from the vinning place today , so all new plates reg and wof etc . [FBA485] so off to the paint shop soon . then in for the manual conversion . but having second thoughts or wether to do it straight away , as might have some bmw V8 manual 6speed gearboxes coming soon from germany have a couple of bmw v8's laying around here M62 4.4L non vanos and M60 4L units , would be nice to fit one of these engines into this car , or maybe the next one i do ?? e36 coupe or touring etc
-
is yours auto or manual now . what size engine 2l or 2.5l might be better just to swap std engine in , and sell it on than try and convert to something else unless you get it cheap and can do all the work yourself etc . 3.5l engines go from a $500-1500 but a manual gearbox kit will set up back a lot more than a auto to match . might bette to go to a M52 328i engine with a manual . up to you . ps. i have some std m50 2l and 2.5L vanos engines . from e36 etc . 02143600

i cant understand why would you do all this to a car . and not change that ugly steering wheel to a mtec 1 or mtec 2 style . and why do all this to a 320i Auto instead of a 325i etc. oh well i guess thats why its for sale , has done all this work and its still a slow 320i auto

all you need is a lsd diff in a mediuam case size then choose teh gears you want and get them fitted or if its already have the right ratio in a e36 med diff then just get a lsd pack fitted , a diff specialist will do this for you ,. has cost me a about $200 to get lsd pack swap over and about $300 to get gears swapped around i have have used a diff guy in manukau GT sth rd
-
your diff 3.15 gears came from a e34 530i auto v8. they run a medium case with high gearing i also run a 3.15 ratio in my e36 325i coupe that i converted to manual , i might have a spare 3.15 ratio for e36 soon . also have a 3.64 e36 diff also have 3.25 and 3.46 medium case gears from e28 525i etc use a gearing calculator to work out what you want . http://www.unixnerd.demon.co.uk/revs.html you will have to put your gearbox ratios in to work out the revs etc . or select 4th gear 1:1 in the is page thats the same as 5th gear in your 328i

i have this sitting around, came from 79 635csi , has carbs on it now but was an injected engine before.
-
yes was nice there on wednesday and thursday
-
i agree , those very early e9 3.3L 1972 engines are pretty rare and i dought one would have made its way into a 635csi . so sugests its a 733i engine . better to swap it out for a later 3.5L block/head etc
-
then it looks like it is a 733i 633i engine block . see here 89mm pistons http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E23/Seda...kshaft_pistons/ the early 635csi had 93/4 mm bore . the later 3.5L engines had 92mm bore so best to chuck it and get a 3.5L engine block , myself or martyn(bm weapon) have some options
-
yes will be there
