check the ovious things like new spark plugs , check HT leads and check clean dizz cap and rotor , they get a build up of fine dust from wearing points , then add a little moisture in the air and you have jumping sparks inside the dizzy. worth a look any way .also check temp probe for the ecu .

sounds like the dead lock is on , when you turn the drivers door lock 90deg left it puts a dead lock on . maybe locks out of sync or one of locks isn't working so it wont let you lock the doors unless you force it into dead lock mode . locks just bounce back up if you try to lock normally . fix the left door and it all might work

yes , i have a coupe one that someone gave me , but the base has square front edges , where as the sedan has rounded off corners . might still be interested if its the right colour and pattern , how much do you want , and do you have a picture of it . cheers brent. ps , where abouts are you

what shape style is the plug on the back , is it a round plug with about 15pins in lines . or does it look like a usb plug inside a round plug about 5pins

can get 4 door black leather set with door cards etc to match about $1200 or cloth maybe around half that . in grey or something

replace the bulbs in the back , pretty simply to do . just remove steering wheel , 2 screws under cluster front edge . then pull out and sawp bulbs over , i have second hand bulbs if you need .

yes a bit more grunt . std e28 M535i has 218Hp 310Nm 10:1cr . this engine has 290HP 340Nm (i think) 10.5:1 cr goes to about 6500rpm . should go pretty good . have to get a beafier clutch . yea pretty stuffed now was up at 5am to go to dawn parade . then breakfast at a cafe then back home , cleaned the M745i , brought a e30 325ia then cleaned that , then started to remove engine finished by about 6:30pm dinner then back out to shed to remove trans and bolt up to engine stand .

ah yes of corse you have , with all the e30's lying around . do you come past papakura often . would you be able to drop one in ,and i'll pay ya . just one in reasonable condition . cheers brent

removed the M88 engine form the M745i finally . will be fitting it to my 86 m535i soon . pulled it out with part of the headers attached , (what a $#&^*(&(*^) .

just got this 89 325ia , done about 79000miles , ex hong kong i think . balck with grey cloth , ac , no sunroof , std 14" alloys , needs little a bit of a tidy up , but pretty sound car . no rust etc . make an offer , before i list it on tarde me . 021433600 or 092997389 . will try and get some pics later on

just brought a 89 325ia , and one of the std 14" bottle cap alloy is damaged . so just need one to replace it , or maybe a set of something different , cheers 021433600 or 2997389 ah

yea dont bother with a 525i m30 model . get a 535i maybe even a M535i for about $4-6k or just a std auto one for about $2k

thats rubbish . i can take a trans out of one of those in about 1 to 1.5hrs , thats incl the time to jack it up onto some axles stands etc . find a place that charges about 3hrs to do a clutch and thats about the same time to do a trannie swap . i would say no more than about 4hrs if they are any good . i only use hand tools and have to work on my back .

i have to agree , its not realy woth it , due to all the bits you are going to need to get it right , a damged e46 cost $5k tp $10k or so . all the drivelines will need to changed , lots of wiring etc , keys with codes match the ecu's etc . just better to sell 318i and buy a 323i or 328i etc , would be cheaper than converting and a lot less work . trust me i strip bmw's down i see the differences , and specially on the later model stuff

lift the little metal clip with a sharp screwdriver that goes around the head of each end of the strut and then they just pop off
