i run 2 amps and a crossover off my remote wire from the head deck and no popping when turned on . check you have good earths . dont run main power cables next to rca cables and dont turn the gain up to much (under half)

just do a worked 2.7 m20 engine , keep the car balanced and get about 200HP . heaps of mucking around to change to a heavy M50 block . or do the 335 conversion 218HP been done lots of time .

yes it got it going ,trans is good , compression in numbe one cylinder is down , and came up with some oil put into cylinder .i think it will have LSD ,but will check in the weekend .has got 4 pot calipers . got it going by borrowing a ECU from a wrecker and putting some gas into it .

My Webpage page 10 . spent the last 2 days pulling all the interior out my project M535i , removed all seats ,consoles ,dash , windscreen (cracked),carpet etc . had most the bits from the cars i have stripped . had to buy a dash and a centre console with the A/C grills . dyed the leather with VHT carpet/vinyl spray on dye . fitted a cd player and speakers. repaired 2 rust holes in bottom corners of windscreen .. Next job is replace or rebuild the 462000km engine . still goes but has a very worn number one cam lobes .and oil passes by the valve guides . and after this millage i should rebuild the bottom end as well . have another 2nd hand engine lined up from a 1987 535ia with 280000km but it goes ok . will pull the engine out of it and sell the car minus engine . at some stage later i will rebuild the high millage lower block and fit it into my E34 535i with the hartge head on it . any way enjoy the pics . http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/584448/10

Cheers- Not quite what I'm after.I'm a bit mystified about this car - especially the bit aroun 4 cylinders- mistake? It's a shape and style that i'm not quite familiar with- it's not what I understand an e28 535 to be- I've been looking at an 86 car- perhaps there was a shape /style change from 85 to 86. - sloping boot and different rear lenses amongst other things- Appreciate it E30stz its a E12 ,the south african versions where built for a few more years after the e28's started in germany .they had a few E12 bodys left lying around some of them have E28 interiors etc .

probably a bit high , but a good one is worth grabing . quicker than E34 535i .150kg lighter and have 218hp 10:1comp ,E34 has 211HP 9:1comp .but $6k seems a bit high . maybe around $3-4k if its good . trans are good but cost around $2-3k to rebuild . 2nd hand around $500-800 . if it was a M535i or a manual one quite rear , would pay more for those .

not sure on the price ,will have to check with some freinds that MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN IT .maybe tops $2k .cause you can get runners for about $2500-3000 . the m50 swap would be a fiddle .(new gearbox ,wiring ,battery and lots of different mounting pionts would need to be modified to fit things. you would be better to fit the 3.5 m30 if you are going to all that trouble or just start again .. let me know . email me [email protected]

i have a friend who has a motronic wire loom .from a 1985 525e

easy to fix the heater valve ,pull it apart and clean out or get a 2nd hand one ,i have some i think .

it would be lot of work lots of wiring to change ,battery etc .radiators ,airfilter positions etc . i might have a freind who would buy the car off you if you want , they have a 2.7M20 engine alaying about in a e28 525ee . what year ,millage , colour etc is it

bigest problems with singapore cars is all the rubbers and plastics get cooked . the roads are so hot there ,the heat comming up from underneth cooks all the rubber hoses and plastic wiring etc . jsu beaware ,a freind of mine got a 1995/96 7 series he has had alsorts of electric probs .

drives fine ,new radiator etc .

hey is a manual or auto .and have you seen a 1985-86 M535i in black with number plate [NA535] floating around in wellington . use to belong to my dad when it was new (cool PP plates B4 they where availible his initials and the model). wouldn't mind getting a hold of it . it did sell a year or so ago for $2-2.5k but i missed it .

quite common for the oil pressure switch to fail ( check for leaks around it at top of engine at back left hand side).easy to change .
