I vote no to 15". They're just too small
-
yeah will just be a low boost setup, aiming for reliability rather than hard tuned performance.
-
i swear someones f**king with me right now
-
Damn it, your timing makes me cry. If this had come up 2 months ago i would've been all over it!! If anyone wants to divide some parts and cash amongst one another im keen. shotgun rack
-
2g, they need a refurb though, i can put up some pics if you want?
-
Lol yeah well my e30 should be ready by mid next week so anytime after that would be sweet. Umm well i already have to space the rotors off the strut and the wheels would need at least a 10mm spacer to clear the calipers. So im thinking thats alot of spacing going on on an et20 rim.

I've already got my racing rims i need/want something that suits the era of my car. Wat about your LM's sam?
-
hahaha well these are only 17's sam. Um no i dnt but they're e46 m3 rotors with biggarsef**koffhuge brembo 4 pot calipers. i want style 5's soooooooooooooooooo bad

Well i just recently imported some bbs rc090's from germany for my e30 and now i find out that they're not going to clear my brake calipers. This f**ks me off for two reasons, a, it was a huge effort to get them here, and b, wtf am i going to shod my car in now?? So, im looking for a viable option to replace them. It must be a classic looking style 5 wheel or something of similar heritage, and they need to clear 4 pot brembo calipers. Any help would be appreciated. PS: this also means that i have a set of bbs rc090's 17x8 et20 for sale.

+1 on the keskins brook, theyd look farking sick on your car

Its not hard at all if you understand what you need to do. The back bit pops out, easy as, the bits above and infront of the frnt windows sort of "roll" upwards. im sure there's a few tutorials on pelican parts.

Short answer: No you're not f**ked. You're summons will have just got stood down. Come up with a smart excuse and you'll be fine.

He tried to tell me that a push style clutch could never handle 400hp, and literally wouldnt sell me the clutch i wanted. Im going back with a part no. to remove the stick from up his arse. Ive got a mapecu2 unit that can handle everything i need it for.
-
you dont have to worry, i've already sorted a solution for that..... plus its true colours will be shown on the track not public roads
-
Not atm, these engines are stock turbo so it should handle it. Later on i'll do a forged rebuild with all the extras, im just going for reliability atm. I'll definately have a talk with the fabricator about the wastegate. Im a bit of a turbo noob, but its pretty obvious physics to me. Plus if i change the wastegate plumbing to later in the downpipe it wont look so susp with a screamer.
-
Thnks, a week or two more and it should be ready
-
ok, ive resized them now...... engine is a m30b35 mated to a w58 supra 5 spd gearbox using an adapter plate. Turbo is off a marine diesel engine, being rebuilt by Steve Murch. No internal work as yet, these motors are pretty strong so it should be able to handle 350-400hp no sweat. I plan to put a screamer pipe in after cert anyway so the wastegate setup doesnt bother me. Manifolds wer fabricated by Paul Weir from RaceFX Engine has been built up from standard.
-
its a b35 from a later model e32
-
machining sleeves so the hubs fit snuggly. This is the best way to do it without using a whole e30 m3 strut. e36 struts just dont work properly. yeah it should be a beast alright. i just want her back already as iv been without my e30 for nearly 2 months now. Im sure a ride can be arranged lol.
-
Finally got my ass into gear and took a few pics of the engine going into my e30. Other things on the modification list: 5 stud setup using ti trailing arms and e36 front hubs (e30 front struts) Front coilover adjusty suspension e46 m3 brake rotors with 4 pot brembo calipers on front and 2 pot brembo rears toyota supra 5 spd gearbox rebuilt 3.64 LSD e36 steering rack (waiting for a z3 rack to find me) I'll put some more pics up when i get round to taking them.
