My inlaws own a large testing station here in Dunedin so yeah, they don't make up the rules, they have to enforce them, if it bites them back in the ass for giving someone a WOF when they shouldn't be consecutively then they loose their WOF Authority, everyone looses their jobs e.t.c. So I hope that joker doesn't think he's willing to risk their jobs just so he can have his non-conforming lights working.... Another scenario is, that if some dodgey small garage gave him a WOF, he sold the car down the track, then took it to a testing station, they picked up on it it can create some issues!

Howdy, can I ask if there's any rust, will you put a new WOF on it? Would it make it ok to Dunedin? Would it look any good outside the hilton when the Valet parking assistant parks it for you? EDIT: Just noticed that the wind screen wipers are missing, do you have those available? Otherwise it looks good.

One of the tidiest I've seen for a while to be fair, but just a bit gran-ish looking IMO, needs some TLC from a mag wheel shop but worst of all the colour makes my eyes bleed.

I think the colour does that price some serious damage, if I had one it would be black, red or silver, I've seen one in red and it did look rather tough. Loving the illegal plate on there, the Gestapo would love it! My uncle went to trade his E60 M5 with every option virtually with 90km, absolutely immaculate and they offered 65k as a trade, which would make that E39 too expensive.

What did you buy? Pics? What should I pay for this car knowing it needs a cambelt, pads or brake indicator?

You don't rekon it would be as quick as my old CLK-55 AMG? Yeah but not too keen on having about 7k tied up in one, depending on what this one goes for if I can get it for under 2500 say I'd be doing ok. I've owned one near identical before & while it was no rocket, it did go ok and drove very nice.
