They all do, I used to work at the Dunedin WOF Centre WOF Online requires it to be entered and crosschecked with the LTSA database. I'm pretty sure they use to display it just by entering in your plate number on CarJam, but they don't anymore. It says you have to purchase a report.

I'd be pleading ignorance and just say that they came with the car at the time of purchase. Thats absolute bullshit, the german plates do a good job imo and I could almost guarantee that the reason behind the law against them would be financially motivated, i.e makes you buy the far too overpriced genuine ones. My Audi has genuine ones, but I could guarantee that I wouldnt be spending $900!!!!!! I mean FFS, $900 bucks for a euro plate??? I got a personalized plate for my birthday about 10 years ago and they cost the wife then about $300 and even then I thought it was over priced. Now the same thing is $600 http://www.plates.co.nz/prices/ I can't see how they can justify $900 for a bit of paint & alloy.

Me grandfather has the 1900cc version and while its probably a good car it definetley lacks in power for a sports car. Go the 2.8 version, loads more punch I'd say.

Looks brilliant in red that thing. Can't say I'd be handing over 115 slides for it tho, imagine how you could fill your garage up with 115k, I'd be leaning towards a E55 AMG Supercharged, an M3 and an X5 if you squeeze you buy right. That second one Glenn would have to be worth more I'd imagine?

Sorry if this has been posted before - I did look! Hard to come by in this condition and it looks as if someone has spent some time on this car - all it needs imo is a nice set of 16"-17" BMW 5 spoke alloys and to sit just a tad lower: 1990 320i Coupe He seems to only want 3k for it. If this car was in Dunedin I'd be wondering around there with a small wad of cash. Looks in superb condition, does anyone know what prices available to ship a car from Auckland to Dunedin? I aint flying and driving back again, its too big of a mission!

Most poprular boards have a community where web engies write software to combat it. I run a forum myself and its no easy task, but because phpbb is so popular theres alot of fixes and changes you can make to combat it & these fixes are released all the time because the bastards usually find a way around it. I'm not too sure on how big the community is for Invisionboard but surely there's a community out there that would specialize on denying registration & access by bots...

Anyone here a Cop LOL ? Reason I ask; are those systems the same there as they are here or different? I've got a Beltronics XR-950 and its superb. I might have averaged 130kph all the way from Auckland to Dunedin and it picked up atleast 10 cops, one cheeky one that was sitting on the side of the road in a highway patrol car and doing the trigger system which was in those videos. The detector wouldn't have picked it up as it would have been far too late, it was just lucky I spotted the car first. The radar detector then picked him up over 1km away whilst his frontal radar was following me. Highly recommend the Beltronics as a brand personally, its saved me some serious coin. IMO there's not a great deal of point in having high powered cars designed to sit on the ton & not use them, obviously in a safe environment & not acting like muppets. My radar detector picks up mobile speedcameras also, but obviously not fixed ones. There are some available with GPS that have all the stationary speedcameras programmed in, but I think you have to update their software regularly.

Hah, checkout the comment made on the E28 Auctions YouTube link... TBH, I think that chap has wasted alot of time & money on that E28, but hey each to their own. Not certed & the don't make it easy with engine conversions.

The 1500 problems was a hint of sarcasm be it so & the 200,000miles thing was posted AFTER this thread was created. 200,000 miles compared to 200,000km is a little different say 320,000km I'd buy that car for the right money if I was after one at 200,000km, but 320,000km sorta puts me off a little.

I've seen those MK1 MX5's for 9 slides, they are very special ones, especially with 200,000km + on the clock. I'd rather have a bath with a fan heater...

Yeah but going up there in a car thats designed to get the German Chancellor to meetings would kill everyone inside and within a 30km radius at the first corner. I bet that 745i of the old mans would be quick in a straight line though, is it a NZ New job?
