I wonder how the 125i would compare to the older 123d ? I've had a 123d for a day and it's the most fun I've had in a small car. One of those remapped would be an absolute weapon.

I'd rather find a 130-150kms Motorsport for 12k and spend the rest on drink. Low kms is good but just couldn't justify the double price tag.
-
Surely there must be more to it than that...
-
Dunno Glenn but more to the point it's not a bad looker, but that stereo....

I've owned a Boxster and whilst being able to afford a 911 at the time, I couldn't justify the double price tag. I couldn't care less what people thought of me to be honest, at the end of the day they sound great, look good and handle unbelievably well.

In Motorsport spec too I'd hope! Visit My Website

A wagon would be nice Jon, but they tend to be a bit more? As my next car is just replacing my daily I don't want to get toooooo carried away lol.

I'm up in Christchurch for work late next week and have left a message to the owner of THIS 330d It's a U.K Import and looks damned good in M/S spec and in blue. For work I'm currently driving a M/S 320d manual which I'll have to find a new home for! Just wondering if it has the newer engine, the 2993cc engine as a pose to the older 2926cc

It may well have deserved that treatment due to the fact it has those .10cent looking aftermarket headlamps!
-
More to the point, why would you need to do it? Are you changing the cluster because it's stuffed or?

20 Slides is an ask, but fark, what has it been doing? Hiding under a rock?

My old '05 Diesel X5 had disks/pads done at 80kms it costs normally about $2500, but was done under Premium BMW Warranty. My old 06 ML 320 CDI was 3200 at the dealer, 2200 at the aftermarket place dudes.

Yup but in this particular case of an M5, your running costs, servicing and parts e.t.c. is going to be more than owning the two cars being a Toyboata Corolla and an M5.
-
Yeah see to this person a supercar isn't an every day car, to me I'd have the M5 and have a 5-10k car to bang around in daily. Not only does it save money but it makes the supercar sitting in the garage all that more fun to use on that 1-2 days per week that you actually use it. An M5 costs as much as it does to own yearly, but imagine owning a Ferrari F-430 for example and doing 40,000kms p/a

Sounds like your friend is very hard on his gear constantly. My uncle owned one for two years and just serviced it, it was his weekend car however. He used to get about 350-400kms to a tank out of his which I thought was impressive for the performance delivered. New brake pads & disks every six months offers me the think he's pretty hard on his stuff again, is it used on the track a lot?
-
Yeah but get it checked out prior, ask for service history, and being from a dealer you have some comeback It is cheap if everything is up to scratch.
-
True this. I thought they took them off to put their own plates on, advertising plates with their logo on.

M FUNF These are starting to come down a bit, nice colour, NZ New, good kms!
-
He'd be doing a healthy 100-120kph there? It just illustrates how safe a Euro car is IMO. From the moment the car impacts the rocks, the airbag deployment has perfect timing for when his head hits the airbag thus not jolting his head at all, there was more movement of his head with the car coming to rest.
-
Nice colour & car, but that personalized plate has to go west! Aren't the photo's taken at Auckland's VW dealership?
-
Holden ute's have the same amount of power don't they? IMHO - what would one use this engine for? It won't go in a car because any gearbox would blow to bits with that amount of power, it's size would prohibit it fitting into a car. I kinda don't see the point of this engine?
-
I've had one of these several times as a loan car, they drive and go quite well.

See that rig although nice (I don't do Acers but that machine is spec'd well bar the HDD), will be bottleknecking like a mofo. A 5400rpm HDD is quite slow.

Looks like their site is down. They are normally very good with turn around times. SSD is going to give you faster startup /shutdown times or any software that requires higher demand, multiple multiple programs open, otherwise normal internet browsing won't see any increases in performance if that's what you're after, great for gaming.
